Based on the specs, build materials, and feel, this is a good quality cable. The cable, unfortunately, didn't work out for my specific hardware combination. That is, I wanted to directly connect my Samsung Galaxy S8+ smartphone to my late-2017 HP Spectre 13 laptop (8th-gen Intel Core i7). Despite installing the newest Samsung USB drivers and laptop drivers and trying the connection on all three USB Type C ports on my laptop, I just could not get my Galaxy S8+ to be recognized and connect. I believe the problem is with the HP Spectre 13 laptop and HP's weird, stupid policy when it comes to USB Type C cable compatibility.

I was always amazed by the quality of the Belkin cords. This one is no exception. I am taking this cord around and keep the original at home. This has not failed me and the speed of the charge feels same. I highly recommend this product if you need a spare USB C cord for Apple products.
