Great powered 4 port USB hub; simple to install
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The reason I bought this powered 4 port hub was my new HP Spectre Laptop has only 2 ports and without having a built-in CD/DVD writer I must use an external unit for that purpose. I tried my non-powered 4 port USB hub and it wouldn't allow my portable drives to be connected. The unit is small and can be easily carried in my backpack for work. Belkin is a good name and this is the second one I have purchased. Recommended.

Great USB 2.0 hub!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I like this hub because you have the option of powering it via AC (included), and because it is slim. I attached it to the back of a PC monitor. It has worked with everything I have plugged it into, as well as everything I have plugged into it. I strongly recommend this product if you still have many USB 2.0 devices like I do, and need a reliable hub.

Works great
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This thing does what I needed it to. Nothing to great about the design. Could use a little more weight to keep it in place It is all plastic, so it moves around easily when shifting things on my desk.

A Must Have!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I don't really trust Wi-Fi or blu-tooth connections. For me having a USB hub is a must for all my peripherals, plus a spare or two! If you have an external hard drive, wired mouse and a printer you need one of these!

Q: Questionthe 4 ports usb works without the power plugged in. so what is the power for ???Is the 110 power for charging up items ??? the usb ports work even when not plugged into 110 adapter.
Asked by Bill.
- A:Answer The power cord can be used always or only when you have a lot of USB devices that draw too much for your computer. Basically if it works OK without the cord then you don't need it. However, if you start having issues then plug in the cord for more power and less drain from your computer.

Q: QuestionWhat is output current for each port?Need to know output current for each port on this hub. 2A on each port? 2A total, split between whatever ports are in use? Want to be able to charge 3 or 4 devices simultaneously, and don't know if this can handle them all at once.
Asked by elric.
- A:Answer It will handle charging an iPhone 5 while a G-Drive and an Ultra Slim WD are attached. However, it will not charge one iPad Retina. It's important to note that this doesn't have an external power supply. Very compact. So its main duty is for plugging in multiple USB 3.0 (or 2.0). Again, though, it does charge my iPhone 5 no problem.
