Belkin - Audio Splitter Adapter - White/Green

I was looking at Share Buds to buy for a trip so my husband and I could watch Netflix on the IPad during our layover. The Share Buds were pricey and they didn't have the ones I wanted in stock. After searching around on the internet, I found this splitter. You can't beat the price and it worked beautifully. Full stereo sound on every headset. Plus now if my kids want to share music - they can share with several kids not just one - which is what you would get with Share Buds. Note there is a longer wire included too if you need a little more space between you and your device.

My friends and I listen to a lot of music, and I'm in a band. My laptop has bad speaker quality, so the best way to listen to it is through headphones or by plugging in better quality speakers. Naturally, speakers are hard to carry around with me on top of my laptop, so I always use headphones. If someone else wants to listen, I use a splitter. Most splitters only split into two, but this one splits into five, so I can have up to four other people listen to my laptop or ipod, in the best sound quality, without disturbing anyone around us. It's great. But the best feature about this splitter is that I can use the other headphone outlets to plug into other sound sources. For example: As a musician, i can plug this splitter into my laptop or my ipod and listen to music (again in the best sound quality), AND I can plug in my keyboard and hear myself playing along (This splitter has tremendously helped me in figuring out chords to songs and such) and I still have three other headphone outlets that i could plug in more headphones, or another ipod, or a drum pad, or a metronome, or a recording device. With two of these, I could literally have a full band rehearsal, and no one in the other room would even know. Like AARONBI said, this thing is awesome! The only complaint i have is that the chords are too short. The main cord to the splitter is only 6 inches long, and the provided connection chord for the secondary sound source is 2 feet long. In order to listen to my keyboard and my laptop at the same time, I had to use a 6 foot connection chord and a pair of headphones with a considerably long chord (both of which i already had in my posession, but the cost could add up if you don't have them). And a "silent" band rehearsal is possible, but it would be a very difficult thing to accomplish, with a big complicated mess of extra chords and equipment. But if your not using it for musician purposes (which i don't think it was intended for anyway), this is absolutely perfect for up to five people to listen to music in a noisy and/or public place. I just recomend you use headphones with long chords, otherwise you'll be crowded and huddled around this litte toy. Highly recommended.

I love this item! it works wonder when you have more then one set of ears that wants to sample the same music or watch the same DVD. my kids love it too!

Great product, very useful. I use it in school all the time, I have a 120gb ipod classic and my friends and I watch videos on it comfortably.

I bought this so my daughter and her friend could watch movies on my iPad on a recent plane trip. They also used it to listen to their iPods... It was perfect and I could even plug in as well! Great design. Perfect fit - and it just looks cool!

I bought this splitter so that 4 girls could share their music with each other without my wife and I having to hear the music throughout the vehicle. Works great with no loss of sound quality. Worth every penny.

Nice product. Works as advertised. We bought two of these for my kids to use on a long plane flight to watch movies on an iPad 3 and 13" Macbook (late 2008). They were nice and quiet and the time "flew" by quickly.
