I did not get a chance to set up my whole display, instead I flashed the image on the wall. Outstanding, the image was clear and beautiful. I can’t wait to set up my whole display!!!!

I waited for a while to get my hands on to 4k projector. I did lot of research because mine is installed in living room where ambient light plays role. I received my unit today and it is pared with nividia shield and tsr5830. HDR10 works fine even with my HDMI lenght is 50 feet but I dont see any issues of signal breaking. I dont game , so I dont know the lag for gaming, but for the movies and shows its great projector and I was able to grab one at great price from benqdirect on ebay. For me it was a quite a upgrade from old acer h5380bd 720p to 4k. Quality of the picture in movie mode with windows closed in living room with white walls is crisp and clear. I also like the size of the projector it can be ported easily even tough my installation is permanent. I would definitely recommend this projector for living room. And this is the only projector in this price range that has 3d also that was also the one the feature I really wanted with upgrade.

My only valid space for setting up a projector was in my living room, which unfortunately has lightly colored walls and large windows. Therefore, even at night, ambient light tends to be a bit of a issue for projectors and can wash out the image. A brighter projector can cut through this ambient light and still provide a vivid, contrast-y image that pops. After setup, with a normal 1.0 gain white screen I can use the TK800 even in the middle of the day when the ambient light is quite bad. (See attached image for an example of what I mean). In terms of picture quality, you can definitely see a marked difference over a 1080p projector, as long as you're sitting close enough. I see less of a difference in HDR material, but all projectors are still kind of playing catch up to televisions in that regard. Don't get me wrong, HDR works on this thing, but if you're coming from an HDR-capable TV just be prepared for a slightly subtler affect.
