I love this movie, but the Olive Films Blu Ray is not a good way to watch it. I have a copy of the original MGM DVD (not the Olive Films DVD currently available here and elsewhere), which included a 5.1 English surround soundtrack, as well as Spanish/French audio and subtitles for all three languages. In contrast, this Blu Ray release has no subtitles at all, and it includes only a stereo English mix (no surround), which seems to include some weird EQ or phasing, possibly due to how they chose to mixdown the original surround mix. For these reasons, I strongly recommend looking for the original MGM DVD release if you want to watch this movie. The picture quality of the Blu Ray is not very much better when directly comparing scenes, and I do not think it is worth giving up the surround soundtrack and subtitles. Sorely disappointed in this release.

It didn’t age well. The Jokes all fall flat. Trying too hard to be funny. Also this blu ray is not the Version I’ve grew up watching. Doyle is urinating in a stream and is standing on one leg and leaning to one side. In THIS version of the blu ray he’s just standing there. A nitpick but strange. Even streaming has him leaning. Why change it? But if on sale for $10 or less
