    Their BEST album yet!

After listening to Gold Medal, which was good but not what I was expecting, I was really jazzed about the new CD, and judging from the cover art, I was really looking forward to hearing it. When I put on the first track, I thought, "Oh, my god... they're doing an arena rock album..." Then they shifted to another riff and I went from being appauld to grinning from ear to ear. They pulled into a third riff & then the lyrics start... WOW! This is The Donnas that I've come to love! I've listened to this album 5 times now, intermixed with their last 3 CD's, and I'm still just blown away. Every track on this CD is bleeding-edge rock, especially Don't Wait Up For Me, Wasted, What Do I Have To Do, Save Me, Like An Animal, Here For The Party and Better Off Dancing. They then shift gears for Love You Til It Hurts and Smoke You Out, making you wonder just what these gals are like off the stage... Finally, they take us back a few years to their Turn 21 days with Girl Talk and Give Me What I Want. They then show their maturing with Tonights Alright and When The Show Is Over. So, all I can say is BUY THIS ALBUM!!

    This stuff really rocks

That 5 stars is very biased, I admit it. Much to my surprise, when I picked up my first Donnas album a couple years ago, Gold Medal, it didn't take long to become one of my 5 favorite albums from anyone. I soon picked up Spend the Night and it was almost as good. I should do this album justice by listening to it a few times before posting, but my initial impression is that Bitchin' is just as good as those last two. They still have the same general sound but this time added a bit more of an 80s flare. If you're a fan of the group like me you'll agree that every song rocks. I should leave more specific descriptions of their sound to someone that actually knows music, haha.

    The Donnas ROCK!

For all those people wondering "what ever happen to my Rock 'n' Roll"? Well, the Donnas have IT. Not only do the Donnas have it, this tight band gets that rock is goodtime music, meant for parties and fun. Several songs have hit potential. Their "rock on" lyrics are delivered with plenty of perspective and attitude, as well as insight and wit. This talented band invites you to have fun or just get on with it. Making for a refreshing update on the classic rock, metal & punk/alt. music of the 70's & 80's. These ladies flat out ROCK! Play It Loud!

I like this album a lot! A little bit more of a 1980s hard rock inspired sound than previous albums. All the songs are catchy. I would definitely recommend this album!
