    Synopsis

    National Lampoon's European Vacation
Despite the many adventures they suffered in National Lampoon's Vacation, the Griswold family decides to take another crack at having fun. This time, the doltish clan heads across the Atlantic for a whirlwind vacation after winning a game show. Will the monuments of Europe survive? ~ Sandra Brennan, Rovi

    Caddyshack
The smash success Caddyshack became a prototype for countless other wacky T&A-tinged teen comedies of the early 1980s. At an exclusive country club for WASPish snobs, an ambitious young caddy (Michael O'Keefe) from an overpopulated home eagerly pursues a caddy scholarship in hopes of attending college and, in turn, avoiding a job at the lumber yard. In order to succeed, he must first win the favor of the elitist Judge Smails (Ted Knight), then the caddy golf tournament which the good judge sponsors. Of course, there are love interests as well -- one good, one naughty -- not to mention several foes he must vanquish along the way. The story itself serves to string along a series of slapstick scenes involving an obnoxious nouveau riche land developer (Rodney Dangerfield) who wants to turn the site into a condominium community; an oddball, Zen-quoting, millionaire slacker/golf ace (Chevy Chase); and a psychotic groundskeeper (Bill Murray) with a gopher-fixation. Caddyshack was a bona fide hit; throughout the '80s and '90s, director Harold Ramis would continue to create such hits as Ghostbusters, Groundhog Day, and Analyze This. ~ Jeremy Beday, Rovi

    Blazing Saddles
Vulgar, crude, and occasionally scandalous in its racial humor, this hilarious bad-taste spoof of Westerns, co-written by Richard Pryor, features Cleavon Little as the first black sheriff of a stunned town scheduled for demolition by an encroaching railroad. Little and co-star Gene Wilder have great chemistry, and the delightful supporting cast includes Harvey Korman, Slim Pickens, and Madeline Kahn as a chanteuse modelled on Marlene Dietrich. As in Young Frankenstein (1974), Silent Movie (1976), and High Anxiety (1977), director/writer Mel Brooks gives a burlesque spin to a classic Hollywood movie genre; in his own manic, Borscht Belt way, Brooks was a central player in revising classic genres in light of Seventies values and attitudes, an effort most often associated with such directors as Robert Altman and Peter Bogdanovich . Some of this film's sequences, notably a gaseous bean dinner around a campfire, have become comedy classics. ~ Robert Firsching, Rovi

This set is nice. I had all three on DVD, but only Caddyshack on Blu. It was cheaper to buy all three than the two I didn't have. Are the transfers the best there's ever been? No. Honestly though, they don't need to be. They're a slight improvement on the DVD quality, but ultimately, these films are more about the script than the image and audio. I can see and hear them fine and all look excellent for the age of the print. Bottom line, if you lose the DVD or just want a slight upgrade in quality, pick this set up.

I bought this compilation for Blazing Saddles and Caddyshack, two classic comedies that broke the mold, especially Blazing Saddles (even with its crazy ending). Cleavon Little and Gene Wilder are award-worthy, and the ongoing Howard Johnson and Mongo gags are killer. Caddyshack is no slouch, and may be the most quoted bro movie of all time . . . "so I got that going for me."

I collect Blu rays and I usually buy most of my movies at Best buy. I love when I can get several movies at a time when you put them on sale or in a deal. I definitely believe you have the best deals on movies which even though I shop around I often find myself at Best Buy! The onlyh thing I would say is to put some of the newer movies on sale a little sooner then you typically do. Thank you

Pairing "Blazing Saddles" and "Caddyshack" on one disc is genius, if you're into that sort of thing. Both classic films in their own right, and different ways, but always watchable. They've both aged well. The third movie on the disc is not really worth mentioning, so I won't.

there will never be another movie like Blazing Saddles ever made again. Everyone should see this piece of historical filmage. Caddy shack may be the best comedy cult film of all time. See it just to recognize the quotes when you hear them on the course, the street, the schools, etc. Euro Vacation? Well..........

I consider this three movie set to be a great bargin. The Blazing Saddles is a so-so comedy. The European Vacation is a great watch. The Caddyshack is good to an extent. But all three are considered to be comedy classics.

You can't go wrong with Mel Brooks Blazing Saddles. Bill Murray in Caddyshack & Chevy Chase in European Vacation give great performances also. 3 movies guaranteed to make you laugh.

Can't stop laughing while watching this set of comedy classics. It's great for a night in just watching classic movies and getting things off the mind and not having to think at all.
