Buy a different brand. I am so so disappointed in my Blendtec. From the very beginning bought in 2022 brand new, it has had this weird metal/black dust stuff at the base where the blending pitcher sits in, I called and told them several times because at first I was told that it’s probably the jar and this and that, now they are telling me it’s deemed safe and normal and most of them do that. Last time I checked I don’t like having any type of weird metal dust shavings close to my food and drink. They did replace the jar and like I suspected it has NOT gotten any better. That was the other thing they said the more I use it the better it’ll become, well, that’s not true either and I asked how many times before it gets better they said they didn’t know. Just such a huge waste of money and so sad because I wanted to like it. OH and the best they could do was send me a refurbished one in exchange for my brand new one! And how would any one actually know if there is metal dust in their drink or food. I can’t stand leaving bad reviews but when you spend this much on a product and they won’t help you more then sending a useless pitcher to me that’s pretty crappy.

We love this blender, it has tons of power and liquifies everything easily, also used it to make almond flour, butter and other things... The only complaint... the lids don’t seal great, you need to hold it when the liquid is too high...
