Blink - Outdoor Wireless 1080p Security Camera with up to two-year battery life - Black

I recently purchased these Blink wireless cameras. The picture quality is good during the daytime , and better than I expected at night. If you add a good motion sensor spotlight near the camera, The night videos, are drastically improved. The mounts for the cameras are much better than I expected when I installed them. The clip together attachment of the camera do the mount had me worries that the cameras would pop off with the first wind gust. I was wrong. The wind never lets up at my house and the cameras withstood the recent 50-60 mph gusts like a champ. I did have one problem with a couple of the cameras not detecting motion. I walked in front of the cameras several times during daylight hours and never got an activation. I checked the Wi-Fi signal and the signal was good, so that wasn’t the problem. Reset the cameras a couple of times and would occasionally get a motion detection. I really liked the cameras but I couldn’t trust the reliability of a couple of them. After a month I removed them and replaced them with another brand.

Device works great. You will need wifi and a plan to see new videos (reason for the 4 stars) after the 30 day trial period is up. The plan options cost are currently $3/monthly per device or $10/monthly for unlimited devices. Being a total tech member, when I purchased this, BestBuy installed it for $0 (online was trying to make me pay extra for installation); so I had to go inside of the store to purchase it to get that deal. I can’t upload a video so I added a couple images.

These Blink XT’s are a no frills, easy to setup, and easy to use camera system. 1080p resolution looks great on the app, and battery power simplifies setup in areas without an electric socket. One thing to be aware of, since these are battery powered, you don’t get an always-on live feed, and there is a delay when you want to start a live feed, but when the system is armed, motion will automatically trigger the camera to record and you’ll receive a notification of the event via the app. Installed this system in a new location, and I’m able to seamlessly view both old and new locations using the same account in the Blink app without issue. Definitely would recommend these if you’re looking for something that’s simple to install and easy to use.

I bought this set of Blink cameras as a gift for elderly parents. We own them and are very pleased with their ease of use and ability to monitor our home while away. Blink has indoor and outdoor cameras available to add to your system. There is a slight delay when you are speaking to someone on the camera. Blink was recommended to us by friends and we in turn highly recommend them to our friends.

I got this to spy on what is under my house. (Discovered by these cameras that it is an opossum!) I got video of it... and the cat that got caught in our humane trap under there. SO FAR, I am really happy with Blink. Not happy it's part of AMAZON though. Don't believe the battery life though. To set it up to record at decent resolution, record longer clips, and other things takes battery. I hope to get a year from the included LI batteries. I also worry about the ease it is to remove the camera if you can reach it. It pops right on and off. DON'T pay full price! I got it for about 100 off!

The blink cameras lag a little bit, but other than that they work well. They work like they should be. And when I say lag a little bit I mean when I say something into the camera or do something it takes it a couple seconds to say or show us the feed. So a little glitchy. But still shows and says everything like it should. We use our cameras inside our home.

This is awesome i can talk to my 11 year old aon who has autism when im not at home and he is there with the sitter. This reaasures him and provides comfort. The price and installing was affordable. I got two quotes of installers who provide securtiy camera equipment and the price was double foe what i paid and purchased at best buy.

Great pic. I’m still learning about the camera’s but so far so good. I have 2 outdoor cameras and 2 indoor cameras and a doorbell camera. I wanted to put one at my shop but it wouldn’t work, I guess it’s too far away.
