It simply works.
||Posted .Owned for 6 months when reviewed. They say a picture is worth a thousand words, so let me just say two things: (1) This air filter allowed us to keep our new long-haired dog, and (2) see attached photo of new filter next to 5-month-old filter.

Gets the job done, bought 2
||Posted .Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This is my 3rd and final go at an air purifier. Started with the larger Honeywell, very disappointed at filter layout for the price. Second was a dyson tower fan, over priced cheap plastic that rattled. Now the Blueair, it does the sqft I needed it to do, filter is huge, noice level is perfect, makes a lower hum instead of pitchy plastic. Changing the filter sock colors is a nice bonus. After 3 days of non stop running on low, I can already see the dust and hair being collected around the bottom. When the A/C is running I’ve noticed I don’t smell that musty damp air. Wasn’t a huge fan of the solid white top, but being the craft handy person I am, I covered it in manga/anime contact paper (posted a picture) it was really easy and anyone with a few tools can do it. Plus it’s easily removable if necessary. The charcoal smell— I ever so slightly could smell it the first day, but I have a solution, buy a car vent air freshener. Stick it in one off the holes on top, problem solved. After a couple days I removed the air freshener and couldn’t smell anything.

Compact, easy to use and quiet!
||Posted .Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed.Purchased for living room area. Easy to put together and simple instructions make for easy setup. Compact design allows for you out somewhere within the house and doesn’t take up a lot of space. It’s super quiet on the lowest setting which is recommended, so you can’t even hear it.

Our First Air Purifier, what a difference
||Posted .Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.During quarantine, my wife started complaining about her allergies since we were working from home. Two dogs, two cats, and a teenager, it was understandable. So I did my research, and went with the Blue Pure 211+. Yes I am a technology nut, and would have loved to have wifi, but for something like this I don't see the need. Turn it on, leave it on, don't worry about it. As luck would turn out, as I was unboxing it our teenager happened to burn something in the kitchen, and we had smoke everywhere. I pulled this out of the box, turned it on, and the smoke cleared up within a few minutes. It was amazing. The air feels fresher in the house now, and we can see the pet hair collecting on the outside cover. We ended up getting a second unit with the idea that we have one by the front door to the house, and one by the back door to the house. Our house is so much fresher smelling.

Wow! From freak out to clean air in hours!
||Posted .Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. So far, so great! This was a bit of a panic buy... Let me explain: Woke up yesterday morning and was in a position in my apartment that caught the sunrise at an angle I've never seen before. My jaw dropped as I could see millions of floating pieces of dust and Lord knows what else! Shifting my head away from that exact angle made all of the floating particulate matter become completely invisible to the naked eye. I moved into this luxury apartment building two years ago and I really love it. Yet I couldn't understand why I was sniffling so often and waking up most days with burning eyes. I've never had an issue with cats and there is an old boy here who mostly sleeps. I figured it was the somewhat busy road nearby. Anyways, after researching reviews and consumer reports I settled on this one and picked it up four hours later. There was noticeable difference in the air quality after just a few hours and I woke up today (24 hours of operating) feeling great. My apartment is about 700 square feet but very open and it seems to be more than capable of providing significant improvement for my situation. I've never written a review this long but I'm pretty happy with the fast results. My ONLY con I see so far is that the piece is designed in Sweden but built in China. I like to buy American made products or country of origination products. I can get over it this time =)

So far songood
||Posted .Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.4 stars soon to be 5 because we just got it and so far we hardly notice it running which is a really good thing. It's big but we had a perfect spot and just washed and changed the first prefilter, it comes with 2 . Interestingly After giving the vet 600 dollars and really having no diagnosis as to why my indoor cat was having breathing attacks daily sometimes several a day I approached it as an allergy issue...Over the course of a few weeks my cats issues/attacks have all but stopped. Now I am not completely sold that this was the cure because the vet had given the cat an injection of antibiotics before the machine came however we were convinced the vet was wrong since the attacks continued for several more weeks afterwards daily with no improvement at all. Within a few weeks of the air machine running in his living area we started to notice less and less attacks until now there are amazingly none. Each attack we though our baby was going to die! Coincidence, Just not sure yet. As for us who suffer with allergy definately feeling better sleep wise. I really like the machine. My concern is how long will the filters last and how costly will they be to replace. I picked this unit based on consumer reports reviews. I am a real person not a bot!

Q: QuestionWhy does this product not come with a carbon filter? All of the other sellers provide a carbon filter for the same price. Even with a 20% discount, when you buy a carbon filter separate, the product still costs more than the other sellers.
Asked by Sylva.
- A:Answer Hi! The filter for the 411 does indeed come with a layer of activated carbon to handle smoke, odors and VOCs.

Q: QuestionWhy is the blue light now yellow? Just changed the filter but still yellow.
Asked by Janr.
- A:Answer HI there! Thanks for reaching out! The unit doesn't know that the filter has been changed. Press and hold the button down for a solid 15 seconds the light should blink then go back to normal.

Q: QuestionIs this product a Hepa A Filter ?
Asked by Debbie.
- A:Answer No, the filters for the 411, 211+ and the 121 are not HEPA. HEPA is just an acronym for High Efficiency Particulate Absorption and refers to filtering particles from the air via a weave and it generally has a range of 90-98% efficiency as to what it’s taking out of the air. Whereas units in our Classic, Sense and Pro lines do use true HEPA filters 97-98% efficiency, the filters in the Pure Blue line of units are about half as dense and 97% efficient. We’ve done this in order to provide for a compact or beginner version of this line of air purifiers.

Q: QuestionDo you have a purifier that does NOT ionize? I would like the 211+, but it does have the ionizer. Thanks for your help.
Asked by Sneezy.
- A:Answer HI there! Thanks for reaching out! All of our units have small Ionizers in them which cannot be turned off.

Q: QuestionHave any users noticed a reduction in dust? We have been under renovation for a year and even though our HVAC system is brand new and we change the filters monthly, we continue to have too much dust.
Asked by stuffynose.
- A:Answer Generally, drywall dust will destroy air cleaner and vacuum motors. Especially in high moisture conditions. Think plaster cast on your motor. Consider renting a air scrubber from a tool rental center otherwise plan on throwing it out and going through a filter once a week. Also, consider hanging plastic between room door ways and closing off return air vents where you have construction. This is not ideal for long projects due to static pressure but, you don’t want that dust in your ducts.

Q: QuestionWhat accessories go with this? In amazon, I found the same model with Particle + Carbon Filter + Washable Two Fabric Pre Filters. I dont see anywhere on the description that it comes with these. Please confirm before I purchased
Asked by Pinklady.
- A:Answer The Blue comes with two washable fabric pre-filters in black & blue colors. There are 3 other colors for purchase. The main filter is the particle filter which needs replacement every 6 months depending on your use. There is no carbon filter with this unit.

Q: QuestionI usually have exceptionally clean air where I live, but right now the wildfire smoke from the west coast fires has settled over our area and the air is very unhealthy. Which unit would you suggest? Thanks
Asked by Stella.
- A:Answer Do not buy Blue Air, it is not filtering the air. It makes a terrible odor in the house. This product is not worth the money! It only filters up to .1 micron, this is not strong enough filtration for the smoke from the fires. I am looking at returning the Blue Air and buy a filtration system that filters up to .003 microns. I have looked at IQAir, this looks much better than the BlueAir
