Deactivation of bacteria (Staphylococcus Albus) & virus (MS2 bacteriophage) Tested on natural flora (bacteria only - excluding viruses) on filter media under normal temperature & humidity conditions.
A: This German guy tests the db (noise level) on 1 meter distance from Protect 7770i: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KZ3eaVsjzms. His results: - fan speed 1: 38 db - fan speed 2: 48 db - fan speed 3: 58 db Note the db is a bit higher than the official 55 max db that BlueAir states. Maybe there is a deviation in the sound meter this guy uses. But then now you all know the ratios now. I presume the official 27 low db is for night setting "0". Looking at other purifiers and their db and CADR ratios, I would estimate CADR of fan speed 2 being around 400 m3/h; still very high for a purifier on this sound level and quality of filtration. I have been surfing the internet for hours looking for this information, because I feared the gap between fan speeds being bigger and making the purifier less interesting for me, yet I feel more convinced now to buy and hence like to share this info for others.
A: Hello, we would recommend a converter but do note that Blueair purifiers are protected by local warranty policies and bringing it outside of designated markets or changing voltage with converter will void the machine of it's original warranty.
Q: Does this filter remove dust particles from the air as well?
A: Yes but I like my Honeywell filters more because of the carbon pre-filter that you xan change more often for dust and oders
A: Hi, I know an attempt to explain will be confusing. I hope the image helps decipher. Built into the door itself there is a protruding section (sticks out about 1 inch) where the HEPA filter is located, it’s just above the lower slats. On this section there is a sturdy non porous hard foam like seal that is designed into the door which seals this area from any other air/dust entering. The bottom section where the slats are located is where the removable/reusable filter is located. This slides in and out on a track. The edges are hard plastic basically creating a seal around this section as well, however because air is circulating through the sides of the unit where this second filter is located (I believe it’s for improved filtration but also to catch pet hair, etc. from going through the unit) you will see some light dust that may appear on outer fan slats just below the HEPA filter if you don’t clean it regularly. Don’t let this deter you. I have a rare untreatable disease which quickly went to my heart & lungs. It turn my asthma into treatment resistant and it was uncontrolled for well over a year w/only 30% lung function. I did extensive research on all units so frustrated over previous ones being hype and a lot of wasted money & expensive filter changes. I have a two story house/vaulted ceilings 5 cats, 2 dogs, and a rat, so I purchased both the 211 plus, and this unit together. In less than 2 weeks I no longer had uncontrolled asthma, in fact I don’t even use half the medicines I had been using when my asthma was controlled prior to this disease complicating the condition. The units even cleared up long standing sinusitis. Absolutely the very best purchase I’ve ever made. It has done more for me, my conditions, & my health than all my doctors & pharmaceutical Co’s combined. This particular unit runs pretty much 24/7 and the HEPA filters still look brand new. The overall dust in my home went from “R U Kidding” to “Maybe i’ll dust next month”…major difference. (I do also use a fine particle 3M HVAC filter) The home always smells fresh/clean & u would not otherwise know I had animals living here too. I’ve had the units a few months now (purchased may?) and have only cleaned the bottom filters twice I believe if u wiped them down more often you would see no dust at all on fan slats. BlueAir customer service is also exceptional. I can’t imagine anyone with or without health conditions finding a single negative on this particular high-end unit. I say without any reservation, buy it, and I'm not a “do a review” kinda person, ever. Until you had an unanswered question. I believe u have 30 days to return if your not happy, I’m confident you’ll be happy and will want to keep it too! Happy breathing….
Q: What is the CADR and noise level for the 2nd (middle) fan speed?
