I bought this item for my 8 year old as kind of a doodle pad so she didn't waste so much paper. The fist one I bought was great, worked for about a week then stopped erasing. I replaced the batteries but it didn't matter. So I took it back and got another one. It was great too until the one week mark and it stopped erasing. I won't buy again.

Got this drawing surface for several reasons, including keeping a running list of things I needed to buy, tracking life totals while playing games, practicing writing/drawing as if it were scratch paper, or doing math while working on homework. It's as simple as can be, elegantly designed, easy to use, what more could you want. Cheap as well.

Probably my favorite aspect of this device is how lightweight it is. It doesn't add any extra weight to a backpack. I bought this because I write out a lot of math problems for some of my classes, and for test reviews I was using sheets and sheets of paper. This allowed me a convenient (and fun) way of working out the problems. The screen is very responsive, the pen is comfortable in the hand. The only thing I do wish it has is something like bluetooth to share the writing to your phone instead of using your camera to take a photo of the screen. I realize that would add weight and bulk, and make the battery last a lot less, but it would be such a great addition for a higher end product. Overall, though, for what it *is* and not what it *isn't*, I love the product and well worth the price!
