Boost Moto G cell phone
Posted .My review is not about the phone per se but Best Buy. Watch out when I bought 2 units. I read the overview it said 4 G,.4.4 Kit Kat plus sd slot (2015 model). The specs said 3G 4.3 Jellybean and no sd slot(2014model). Best Buys' best offer was to give me my money back some day. Buyer beware fits here .http://www.bestbuy.com/site/boost-mobile-motorola-moto-g-no-contract-cell-phone-black/3135008.p?id=1219088033418&skuId=3135008&cmp=RMX&ref=17&loc=10&CampaignID=717655&SubscriberID=134614407

I have tried so hard to hate this phone because it
Posted .I have tried so hard to hate this phone because it is 3G and I did not notice until I reached home. However, it packs a powerful punch: Quad Processor,Hi Def Screen, Loud and Powerful Speakers, Big and Bright Screen, Slo-Mo camera, Beautiful design and the ultimate android phone because it is built by google; the (former) parent company of Motorola. Did i mention it cost $100 - $125? I tried really hard to hate this phone: for six hour I simultaneously, listen to Pandora, downloaded apps, surf the internet, played games and had it plug it charging and the phone was cool as Antarctica. My old 4G HTC Evo Design would be red hot, after an hour of such torture. That said, get the phone, it is a wise investment. The only difference between this phone and the very best phone on the market is 4G. Motorola Moto G cost $100-$125 vs the top phone S4, LG G2, Iphone 5 $600-$800 is 4G really worth the extra cost? No, it is just as good; because like the top tier phones Motorola Moto G also has a Quad processor and Guess what? it perform just as good when using WiFi. Another secret: it is currently the only boost mobile phone that has a Quad processor.

nice smart phone
||Posted .I've had several of the less expensive smart phones, and have run the gamut on brands, ie , Samsung, LG, Kyocera, etc.. This Moto g is by far the fastest and most capable of any of them. It doesn't take a SD card for extra storage, but so far that hasn't been a problem. I have Facebook, Netflix, Spotify, Pinterest , a Bible app, Kindle app, and a majhong game all downloaded and still have room. Plus you can upload to Google Drive to free up space. Definitely worth buying.

Utterly Fantastic Deal
||Posted .There's no other way to say it, this phone simply can't be beat for the price. At $200 it would be a steal, but at under $100? Unbelievable. The quad core processor has been plenty for anything I've thrown at it. The screen is a great size and while the viewing angles aren't great (especially for an IPS screen), the resolution is comparable to a flagship phone. It beats the screen on a far-more-expensive Galaxy S4 Mini I compared it to, for instance. It's also not bad at all in bright light, but like other recent phones I've tried the auto light sensor doesn't dim the screen enough in darkness. I always end up manually turning the brightness all the way down in bed. I promptly upgraded it to 4.4 Kitkat, and it's been smooth and beautiful. Programs load quickly, and even with a few widgets there's no lag that I've ever noticed. There are only three downsides to the phone that I can think of. First, the camera is pretty mediocre. It takes chunky, relatively low-res shots. It does all right in low-light, but nothing to write home about. Second, it only has 1GB of RAM, so it gets pretty aggressive about unloading background programs, including on a couple occasions the music I was listening to. Finally, with only 8GB of internal space and no SD card slot, you're going to run out of space in a hurry if you try to store any music or videos on there. Google tries to help you out by giving you 50GB of cloud storage for free, but I'd much prefer local storage. Despite the minor flaws, this is a fantastic phone that I'd recommend to anyone looking for a budget phone, as it blows anything else I've seen anywhere near the price out of the water.

Great phone and features for a "Droid" beginner
||Posted .My wife loves her new "Android phone. She can get on the internet, text has 50GB for two years which means that she can store many pictures. She has a relatively large screen, excellent camera. This phone is great for an "Android" beginner. This was a true "Upgrade."I purchased the LG Optimus F7 sixmonths ago, and I felt it was a little more advanced for what she needed it for, that is why I purchased the Moto G, an excellent value for the money.

Outstanding
||Posted .This was an upgrade from my old phone, I love the bigger screen, the much faster processor plus the fact that it is a quad core makes multi tasking so smooth. Setup and import of contacts was perfect. I realize the phone only has 8gb of internal memory but I only use my phone for texting, calling and email so, I don't for see this being a problem. Cheap price for such a quality product, very happy!

Great Phone / Tablet for the Price
||Posted .Got this for my brother on sale for $60. He has been using it as a tablet (no cell plan) to replace an iPod Touch that died. This is a fantastic device for the price; it blows the latest iPod Touch out of the water, and it is 1/3 the price! Gorilla Glass 3 is nice so you don't have to mess with screen protectors. Only downside is the capacity (8 GB) isn't more, and there's no microSD slot, but I knew that, and for the price it can't be beat. Can't comment on the cell service, but I know this version can be flashed to work on some MVNO's that use Sprint's network; not sure if the Verizon version can be flashed. Easy to bypass the activation if you just want it as a tablet. Makes a great small tablet, and definitely worth a look if it works on your MNO / MVNO.

Q: QuestionBoost Cell Phone, what is it ?I guess I wasn't thinking . I entered a bid for a boost cell phone on Ebay. Thinking it was the same as a regular Cell phone . Is it ? I have consumer Cellular for my reg. Cell phone . I've been looking at definitions and I came in here looking for answers. But it looks like I made a mistake. Am I wrong in thinking that you have to buy a card for a certain time to use it ? Or something like that. Please advise. Thanks ... Tom
