Works great!!
||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We’ve had this dishwasher for well over a year (could be 2 now), and we have literally no complaints! It works perfectly, it has great options to move some of the dividers around to fit things better. It’s quiet and fairly quick. We’d recommend it highly. We especially are impressed since this was the more moderate priced version. It doesn’t have drying elements- it somehow works with the stainless steel interior (or something I can’t describe it). I usually open it up & let them air dry a bit but I used to do that anyway with my other dishwashers.

CleanPlate
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The right mix of price and cleaning make this a Best Buy. We owned an older model, so when we moved and remodeled we bought a Bosch. It installed easily. Looks great. It’s quiet. If you load it properly, your dishes will be clean and dry. Be sure to use a drying aid, like Finish for the best results. Otherwise, you’ll have wet, spotty dishes.

Once you go Bosch…
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We replaced an older Bosch dishwasher with a Samsung dishwasher a few years ago and that was a mistake. We fixed that mistake by purchasing this Bosch dishwasher and we learned our lesson. Excellent build quality, super quiet and our dishes are clean again.

Quiet, Stylish, and Functional
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My family recently moved into a new house that had an old, clunky GE dishwasher. I saw this Bosch model available for purchase online and was happy to see that it was able to be installed within 10 days. The installer was very professional and efficient and best of all was included with my Totaltech membership. The dishwasher itself is excellent. The design is sleek and matches my Bosch refrigerator perfectly. It runs very quiet -- I don't see any need to spend the extra money on the higher models that are supposedly quieter. It also cleans dishes perfectly. We've ran dozens of cycles over the last few weeks and our dishes are sparkling clean every time. My only complaint is that the included silverware tray is very small. Luckily you can order a second silverware tray directly from Bosch to double the capacity. Other than that, no complaints!

Bosch Convert
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After living with a noisy old basic plastic dishwasher for years, I decided it was time to upgrade. Bosch is really the supercar of dishwashers. So many adjustments that allow you to fit just about anything. This model is very quiet, but not whisper-quiet. You can hear it sloshing around, but it won't disturb TV viewing in the next room. Love the stainless steel panel and handle. No brand name displayed, so it's got a clean appearance. Partial plastic tub is fine so far. No weird smells with regular filter cleaning. Gets dishes very dry if you use rinse aid as recommended. Will never buy a non-Bosch dishwasher.

Pleased with Purchase!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We’re very pleased with our purchase. The dishes are sparkling clean. We use jet dry and drying hasn’t been an issue. The third shelf is so handy. If it weren’t for the red light we wouldn’t even know it was running. It’s so quiet.

||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Orderded online and was delivered within 5 days. I installed all by myself with the guidance of YouTube. We love it as we have owned Bosch previously. It cleans insanely good and is quite.

Q: QuestionWhat is the difference between the 100 and 300 Bosch dishwasher series?
Asked by poorcustomerservice.
- A:Answer Hi DogMa, thank you for your question and interest in Model:SHXM4AY55N. The 100 Series Dishwasher has a hybrid tub, which is stainless steel and polypropylene, it is 48 dBA, is anti-fingerprint stainless steel, holds 15 place settings, has 24/7 Overflow Protection and an open bottom. The 300 Series has an all stainless steel tub, it is 44 dBA, has the Extra Dry Option, holds 16 place settings and has a fully molded base with 24/7 AquaStop. Both have a standard third rack and RackMatic with nine possible positions for the upper rack.

Q: Question!. Listing says front controls! Listing picture shows top controls. Which is it? 2. Does this machine dry items without addition of special drying liquids? Thank you in advance
Asked by Hanover8.
- A:Answer I own this dishwasher and the controls are at the top and not on the outside. It does dry items with or without drying liquids but I recommend using the drying agents. If you don't use them the glassware and flatware will be spotty as the machine dries using condensation and not actual heating elements.

Q: QuestionIs the tub stainless steel or not? It says stainless in the overall description but when you click on All Specifications it says Tub is plastic?
Asked by DishMe.
- A:Answer The tub (bottom) of the unit is plastic. The sides, back, and top are all stainless steal.

Q: QuestionSince the controls are on the inside, does this model shine a light on the phone indicating it's in a wash cycle? I've bought Bosch dishwashers in the past and they were SO quiet I could only tell it was actually running by the indicator light.
Asked by Kelly.
- A:Answer Yes, it shines a bright red light on the floor when in cycle. Very, very quiet.

Q: QuestionIs this the type of stainless steel that is resistant to fingerprints?
Asked by David.
- A:Answer Hi David. Thank you for your question. The SHXM4AY55N does have finger print resistant stainless steel.

Q: QuestionIs the dishwasher height adjustable down lower than 33-8/9? Only have 33-3/4 opening. So it would actually have to be total height of less than 33-1/2 installed
Asked by TomD.
- A:Answer Hi TD, thank you for your question. For Model:SHXM4AY55N the cutout height is 33 7/8 inches. Here are all of the dimensions for that model: Overall appliance dimensions: (HxWxD) (in) 33 7/8" x 23 9/16" x 22 9/16". Required cutout size: (HxWxD) (in) 33 7/8" x 24" x 24". We do have another model with the Bar Handle that has a cutout height of 32 1/8 inches. It is Model:SGX68U55UC.

Q: QuestionI bought the Bosch dishwasher at the best buy outlet but I realized once I was home that it did not have the insulation blanket that the other dishwashers had. Does this dishwasher come with it, or need it. ?
Asked by Lou24.
- A:Answer My dishwasher did come with the insulation blanket. I ordered it online and had it delivered.

Q: QuestionDoes this dishwasher have a plastic or stainless steel tub? Photos and title show SS but all of the specifications and product descriptions for this item say plastic... Best Buy?
Asked by RCCZ.
- A:Answer The top, back, sides and door are all stainless. The bottom of the tub is polypropylene. (With the rack in, of course, let alone any dishes, all you can really see is the stainless.) I believe you've got to go higher on the Bosch dishwasher model scale (?300, definitely 500, 800) to get all 6 internal surfaces in stainless. Since there are so many models at each level, and the specs don't run true at each model level (some of the 100's series cost more than some of the 300's) you've just got to look at the specs for each individual model you are considering buying.
