I would like to share my experience of purchasing washer and dryer in Best Buy. I want to be very specific about people, prices and dates and then you can decide for yourself whether to buy something from Best Buy or not.
I placed an order on 25Feb2017 for washer and dryer with delivery and installation included for the following items.
25Feb2017 - $1,527.36
Samsung - 7.5 Cu. Ft. 11-Cycle Electric Dryer with Steam – White -
Samsung - 4.2 Cu. Ft. 9-Cycle High-Efficiency Steam Front-Loading Washer – White
RESULT: I took a day off for the March 3, 2017. Dryer was not working and it was scratched during an installation. Installers recommended to call and request exchange.
On March4, 2017 I called and requested replacement for a different brand BOSCH. I hoped it would be working since it is more expensive. The operator was very rude and I think it was because of my accent p.s. I am foreigner

RESULT: I took another day off. Installers could not check whether washer and dryer is working since we have 3 prong outlet and dryer had a 4prong power cord. I think if installation is included the installer should check prior coming what kind of outlet customers have. I hired an electrician for $200 to replace 3 prong with 4 prong outlet.
After outlet was replaced we turned on washer and dryer, the washer was jumping all over my laundry room I think I received a damaged washer with misaligned drum.
I called again to the customer service, spent an hour on the phone. The earliest delivery date for any washer and dryer was 1Apr17, which is not acceptable because have a 7 months old child. I was suggested to go to the local branch and place my order there.
So….We went there, Joe Hae was working with us, very nice and understanding guy. We chose our replacements on 11Mar17 and scheduled delivery for 14Mar17. Since I complained they placed my complaint for the next level – corporate.

RESULT: I received a phone call and they said that they will reimburse my bill to electrician for the outlet replacement which was nice but I am still waiting for the confirmation letter stating that they will do that)
We received a notification e-mail from Best Buy 9.30 pm that they cancelled our delivery for 14Ma17 and re-scheduled it for 21Mar17 after I already took a day off.
I called 14Mar17 to the store, they placed my complaint again to expedite my order. I received a phone call from corporate Joseph Barbato who shared his story with me that he needed to make 150 calls to re-schedule deliveries due to bad weather and that he can’t do anything to expedite a delivery and doesn’t care if I will ever buy anything in best buy.
SUMMARY: Well….I took 4 days off, it is March 14 2017 and I still did not get my washer and dryer, my money are held by Best Buy, I feel helpless and stressed.
So if you have extra money, extra time, if you already have a washer and dryer and buying extra just for fun, if you do not have any children and do not mind wearing dirty clothes for a months, if you have laundromat close by then I guess you can place your order with best buy.
But I will never ever buy anything again in Best Buy and I will keep you posted whether I received my washer and dryer and whether it is working or not))
