This is such a horrible dishwasher that I don’t recommend anyone ever bother or they will tear their hair out like I am. I had to buy this ADA compliant dishwasher because the cabinet space in our kitchen is too small and no installer was willing to “shove it in” like our previous standard sized dishwasher.
This dishwasher not only does not clean well and I have to often rewash by hand quite a few of the dishes. It has terrible selections, no “dry” button and every load is still soaking wet after an almost 3 hour wash cycle. It smells like food is rotting for some reason - it may be due to some kind of condensation style drying but the dishes smell like rotten food and are wet every so I have to kind of prop it open and let it air dry.
The spacing in the basket dishes is so poorly thought out and organized. The dish “holders” are so short that I can’t get anything to stay up in there and so close together for almost all dishes - forget being able to put any normal size bowls in there. I end up having to haphazardly pile like 5 dishes at a time as it doesn’t hold them up and with how badly it washes I don’t want to risk having to rewash them. I constantly have a second load to do because of it. The flatware bin doesn’t fit well anywhere and it takes up almost a quarter of the space which is already smaller. And it’s so poorly designed that somehow the utensils don’t get washed well and I have to hand wash them.
I seriously get so upset every morning having to deal with this ridiculous dishwasher. It cost so much more too because of the ADA compliant style (it is a bit smaller and shorter) and I sooo regret this purchase. Don’t make the same mistake I did and avoid this one.
I was really motivated to buy this model for work due to its dimensions and promotional deal. It's been 2 months since I purchased it and it works pretty well the only reasons to which this is not a 5 star review are because the manual was a little confusing when starting the cycle for the first time and the functions were a bit annoying to maneuver. The customer service support has been great though, kudos to them!
1) It started out running quietly, but then gradually became louder and louder over the first couple of months. Not good.
2) The panel stopped working after less than 3 months, and since there are not enough repair appointments available, I had to wait 3 weeks to get an appointment and take 6 hours of vacation time to get a new dishwasher repaired.
The outlet was installed by a licensed CA electrician prior to receipt of the malfunctioning dishwasher.
This is in a home, not in a restaurant. When it worked, we used it about once a day. It was not overused in any way.
I am VERY disappointed in this Bosch dishwasher. So far it has cost me an extra $350 because I had to take vacation time to have it repaired (instead of being able to cash out that vacation time)--so the total cost so far has been $1,570.
Be sure to factor in time off when you compare prices and reliability with other dishwashers....I wish I had known this before I ordered it.
A:Answer I think it is very efficient with water even with the long cleaning time. Actually, I think the reason it’s a long cleaning time is because it is being efficient with the water. I haven’t tried to find a shorter but it doesn’t bother me because the dishes are so incredibly clean when it’s finished! I love this dishwasher!
A:Answer Fingerprint proof? Difficult to say, we'r using it in office. So no little smudgy sticky fingers!
Pots and pans? What dishwasher cannot do pots and pans? Question is why would you? Better for pans to do by hand, sorry. But stainless steel I'm sure you can put in.
Non stick: NEVER !
Hope this helps.
Machine is awesome btw, SUPER QUIET. So quiet in fact that first time I turned it on, I thought it was not working!
We love it.
A:Answer I dont think it has the heating element at the bottom but it does dry them (not well but its there). I usually just open the door and they finish air drying on the rack. Make sure to use rise aid or they will come out very wet.
