Pricey but worth it!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We’ve gone through two (!) dishwashers in the past seven years. No we don’t have a large family, and no we don’t misuse appliances. The first, a GE profile which never cleaned well, was noisy and had multiple repairs and quit working at year 3 so we thought a Samsung would be a more reliable option. Although it worked fine for four years when it failed it failed big time. The seal and motor went at once. So we decided to go for broke and get the model we had wanted all along: the Bosch. We’ve only had it for a month so there’s no telling how long it will last but so far we are extremely happy. It is so quiet that if it weren’t for the red light (a small circle) shining on the floor we wouldn’t know it was working. We love (did I say love?) the three racks! No more bending down to find the long handled spoon at the bottom of the dishwasher. Even plates fit on the second rack making emptying a pleasure. We like being able to use the half load feature and the 60 minute speed cycle. We may have spent more on this one, but we are super happy with our choice.

So far, so good
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After owning a single Bosch stainless tub dishwasher for 16 years. When it was time to replace it, we chose its contemporary counterpart. A stainless tub guaranteed for the life of the unit. 43db noise rating. Third row top rack. The bottom line, really clean dishes. We got used to not having to rinse stuff before putting them into our Bosch. This new one gets the job done quietly. Still trying to adapt to the new "tyne" positions. Glasses on top rack tend to wobble. Plates load north/south unlike the old Bosch which loaded east/west. We will get used to it. Very satisfied with product as well as Best Buy's professional installation.

Nearly Perfect Dishwasher
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I just got this dishwasher a few weeks ago after my 2005 model Whirlpool Gold dishwasher died suddenly. This dishwasher cleans so well. You really don’t need to rinse the dishes before placing them in the dishwasher. The dishes, glasses, silverware and plastics all come out sparkling clean. I love how quiet it is. I can hardly tell when it is running. The only things that I have to get used to (not really negatives) is that since this is a top control dishwasher I can’t see the countdown to the end of cycle. Also, since there is no “dry” cycle, dishes do come out wet at the end of the cycle, but since the stainless steel tub retains so much heat, the water evaporates very quickly. This is the best dishwasher I have ever owned.

After 2 weeks started leaking
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Did a ton of research before buying this Bosch. Paid almost a grand for it. Greek Squad did a great job with the installation. I was shocked. Unfortunately after two weeks it started to leak in the front door. At first I thought it was a fluke. Then today after 5 weeks since the install it's leaking again. Good thing I was home so I saw the soap coming out of the bottom of the door. I checked and the seals looks brand new nothing seems to be wrong with it. But if i close the door and start a cycle water would drip out from the bottom of the door. Very disappointed.

Q: QuestionThe answer given did not answer the question I asked! All dishwashers have at least one dry cycle - my current one has both a heated drying cycle and an air dry cycle and I want to know if the Bosch has both as I don't want just a heated dry cycle.
Asked by kat71.
- A:Answer Hi there, thank you for your question. Bosch dishwashers only offer a heated dry cycle, however it’s not the standard heated dry cycle. All Bosch dishwashers use condensation drying, which is a safer, cleaner and more energy efficient process.

Q: QuestionDoes this dishwasher have an air dry cycle?
Asked by Kat71.
- A:Answer This model does have a drying cycle as well as an Extra Dry setting (which should be used with the Sanitize setting) to extend the drying cycle. It does dry the dishes very well except for a few glasses and other items that have a lip on the bottom. Water sometimes doesn't evaporate for these items. The key to best drying for this dishwasher is to let the dishwasher stay closed until the door is cold. Then you know that the dishes are as dry as they are going to get.

Q: QuestionI hv this dw.love it. except 4 wet dog smell when I open dw. Sometimes no smell, 10 min later u smell wet dog. last 4 wks. Now no smell. returning it. tried everything. installed right. cant figure it out. 800 reviews, same problem. WHY?
Asked by leah.
- A:Answer The smell comes from the water proof material inside. Run 1-2 cycles with sanitize plus extended heat with a cup of vinegar inside. Otherwise the smell is gradually gone.

Q: QuestionWhat is the minimum height required for installation? I was told by one store person that installation requires 34 in. exactly, and cannot be any less. My space is about 33.9 in.
Asked by LH.
- A:Answer Mine is 33.9 and fits perfectly!

Q: QuestionWe are very happy with the cleaning however even with the sanitize and extra dry our dishes are still very wet. Could you further detail what trouble shooting I could do to solve the problem? Maybe a covered vent or additional attachment?
Asked by Jkidd5555.
- A:Answer I previously had a Bosch dishwasher that dried everything in its path. The Bosch dishwasher we purchased recently does not have a heating element for drying, subsequently the first time it was used was alarming. We were not made aware of this “change” in performance and in all honesty, we are deeply disappointed in the performance. Even using the rinsing agent, the door when opened is wet. This may very well be the way Bosch is making things today, but when your buying a product you’ve had great success with, it is the sales persons responsibility to make you aware of operational changes. My expectation was that it would perform like the other, and it is not even close.

Q: QuestionDoes this mount from the top, sides, or could it be either?
Asked by Evansroad.
- A:Answer Hi there, thank you for your question. Our dishwashers can be either top or side mounted to your cabinetry.
Answered by BoschAppliancesUSA
Q: QuestionHow long is the power cord? My current dishwasher is hard wired so I have to drill a hole in the cabinet to run the plug to the outlet. I want to make sure it will reach! Thanks
Asked by Seattle.
- A:Answer Hi there. Thank you for your question. The power cord, SMZPC002UC, has a length of 47 1/4 inches.

Q: QuestionWhat type of material is this handle....color? Looks white....?....will it stain with normal use?
Asked by Anonymous.
This question was asked about the related product: Bosch - 800 Series 24" Bar Handle Dishwasher with Stainless Steel Tub - White
- A:Answer A magnet does not stick to it, so it is not metal. It is a very smooth, slick surface possibly made of plastic. The handle is the same color as the washer itself..white. I doubt that it will stain as it does not appear to be porous at all. We have only had this dishwasher for a couple of weeks but love it. It is extremely quiet, holds a lot of dishes, and does an excellent job of cleaning. Note that you must use a drying agent with every wash. Without the drying agent your dishes will be wet even if they sit overnight.
