I got this cooktop because I wanted induction and I often make pancakes on a griddle and this one seems to be the only cooktop on the market with real bridge burners that aren’t just two round burners (for even heating). However, upon hooking up and testing, the heat is not as even as I would have hoped (see picture). If I had known, I would have saved over $1000 and gotten the Bosch 500 or another brand. That said, I really do like the cooktop. It heats fast and has enough precision to control cooking. Before purchasing, I was very concerned about the apparent complexity of the controls. But the controls are actually very intuitive. Everything works the way you would expect it to. And I didn’t even read the instructions ahead of time. I expect guest chefs will have no problems during the holidays. Finally I gotta complain that on the model with the stainless trim on top and bottom, the trim interferes with my 18” long griddle. If they had arranged the controls better this wouldn’t have been a problem, instead the bottom two inches of my griddle are significantly cooler than the rest and is unusable.

The stovetop is awesome until you need warranty work. It has been 5 weeks and we still have not been able to get any work done on our stovetop. There is no one in our area to service it and Bosch will not do anything about it. We requested a replacement and they refused. We have had to resort filing a compliant with our state attorney general to get it fixed.
