Bose - 161™ Speaker System - Black

Im using these for my rear surround speakers for my home theater system. I have them mounted on the wall pointed downwards towards the center of the room. They look nice, feel solid and high quality. I have not tried using these and stand alone shelf speakers so I cant tell you how powerful or loud they are. For surrounds they work great, I would not use these without a sub if your looking to hear that bass given they only have 2.5" drivers. Got these for $169 at best buy so for the money I cant complain. If they were say $50 more I would take em back or pay a little more for a higher end bose model.

I like the clear crisp sound that comes from these speakers i use two of them for my surround sound and 2 my for my mini stereo system

Bought these a year ago and still love them. I shopped for speakers to fit into a new TV console that had small openings for my stereo equipment. These fit perfectly ( 4" deep X 4" high X 11" wide ) and look really nice, Sound is good, too. You can't go wrong with Bose.

These were originally installed a few years ago, excellent speakers. We had to replace because a Kidde fire extinguisher was on the floor, below the speaker, and the valve blew off and shot the speaker. Ripped out wires and terminals, whole house was covered in fire extinguisher chalk. Beware of fire extinguisher with plastic valves. Otherwise no issues with speakers, just understand they are sold in pairs, and they are directional.(right and left).

I wanted a set of speakers with clear sound to fill the room without cluttering the space. These replaced a pair of large floor old school Jensen speakers. These may not get as loud but they are loud enough for what I want. Movies and music in the living room. I'm not looking for dorm busters anymore.

These speakers are connected to my Yamaha Receiver and makes a world of difference in watching TV programs especially sports. I mounted these speakers in a stand adjacent to the TV and they blend perfectly in the room.

For a small pair of white wall hanging speakers it’s just a great package from Bose and bestbuy delivered them way ahead of time

For you audiophiles out there consider this budget friendly speaker set! The nuances of your music can trully be heard but the key to success is pairing these with a good amp and a good sub. I used my Sonos connect amp and bought a Polk sub to round out the base and just like that music nirvana! The created rig completes an open loft in my house with rich sound and meshes with the other Sonos speakers I have throughout my house.
