Encompassing sound, wireless sub !
||Posted .I previously had a 7.1 Yamaha/Klipsch surround sound system, dealing with all wiring, placement of the speakers, multiple remotes etc. to get surround sound. Purchased the BOSE CINEMATE 120 HOME THEATER SYSTEM after comparing it to the POLK & KLIPSCH SOUNDBARS. All with wireless subs, but there was NO comparison with the BOSE having all encompassing sound with just one 18 inch long speaker & a wireless sub. The "ADAPTIQ" headset, sets up the whole room with great sound no matter where you sit or the size of the room.

Premium product, premium price
||Posted .I recently purchased the Bose CineMate 120 Home Theater System for my office. The sound is excellent. I like the simplicity of the single speaker/sub woofer combo, however keep in mind there is a central controller hub that everything connects to as well. The hub will allow you to connect up to 4 HDMI devices. The included universal remote is large and useful however if you are like me, adding another remote to the pile can be a bit irksome. The setup was a bit of a hassle but once it is done it is done. I would be remiss if I didn't mention that it was a bit pricey (<$1000 when I bought it). The speaker uses a proprietary Bose Technology called Adaptiq that "auto-tunes" itself for the specific acoustic configuration of the room. The sound that comes from this system really is a modern marvel. It has great volume, bass, and surround sound projection. Every product has Pros and Cons. Besides the price, one caveat I might add is that the placement of the speaker should be in the center of the of the room in front of the TV. If your TV is not wall mounted, the speaker could block your infrared sensor. If you have the room on a second shelf or on either side of the IR sensor it should be easy enough to work around this but it is worth mentioning nonetheless. If you are looking for a premium surround sound speaker set for your home theater, this is an excellent choice if you can justify the price.

Awesome sound for it's size,
||Posted .Bose for the most part always puts out awesom product for the most part. For such a small sound bar it put a lot of other larger soundboard to shame. The wireless sub woofer really adds a dimension that you don't get with others. The sound is crisp, and the bass provides a good deep compliment for explosions, musical and concerts. You can run every thing through the hub like most Bose equipment. The settings allows you to set the quality and type of sound you are looking for. Down sides to this product I would have to say there's know television display to adjust settings you have to to it from the LCD screen on the hub. When adjusting the volume be careful not to hold the button down because you can go from low to loud in a heartbeat. And the wireless base speaker was going in and out when I first installed it I wasn't white sure if it was just having trouble finding the signal but I adjusted the location of the speaker and it works fine. Overall great product.

I Was Always Nervous About Bose Until Now
||Posted .I bought the Cinemate 120 to try it out at home. I'd been using a receiver and 3.1 surround system for years (with vaulted ceilings, we never wanted to wire for rear speakers). We tried it and we were blown away by it. The set up was fairly easy with the headband and the sound is incredibly responsive and amazing. Our family room is 19' X 26' with vaulted ceilings that reach 20 feet high. Sound never filled the room until now. It feels and sounds like we are surrounded by speakers. The subwoofer is responsive, but there are times when it will cut out. This is obvious when there is a long rumbling (like a car) and the sub is missing a signal or two. I love this and will purchase BOSE in the future. Now, I wish that I had purchased the larger one that was only a few hundred more.

Amazing sound from such a small foot print!
||Posted .Excellent soundbar. I needed to downgrade my 7.1 surround sound system because it was just too much for my living space. This works perfectly! Unbelievable sound from such a compact system. Dialogue levels are excellent whether watching a tv show or a bluray movie. Remote control setup was a piece of cake to work on all my devices. One note - if your tv does not have an HDMI-ARC input, you need to connect an optical sound cable in addition to the HDMI. My Samsung LED is an older model, so I assume the HDMI-ARC became available in the newer ones.
