Great Sound - Short Life
Posted .I've used many Bose products, From $99 earbuds to $1200 Aviation headsets. These are true to the Bose name for quality of sound and clarity from the microphone, however, the wire used is very flexible and frays easily at every junction (earpieces, mic and plug) I'd rank them a 5 stars if they lasted more than a year.

Amazing sound!
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendAbsolutely love my headphones! Amazing sound! I've had my headphones for over a month now. I use them everyday walking/running around my campus. I've exercised with them too and they never fell off. This pair doesn't have the noise cancellation feature, but it does the trick if you just want to listen to music and still be aware of your surroundings. The cord is long enough so it doesn't get in my way when I run. The case is pretty convenient for easy storing while in your backpack, purse, or sports bag. I usually carry lots of things in my bag and the headphones have been safe while in it's case. I've tried the mic out on my itouch, ipad, iPhone and the mic/remote feature works great! But just to warn other customers, there are two types of headphones--one is compatible with the apple product the other is for androids. The mic will not work one hundred percent if it's not compatible with your device. So choose wisely. But it will still produce amazing sound on both devices. Overall, I would totally recommend this product to others!

Super Comfortable
Posted .I would recommend this to a friendMic and remote control work great!!! easy to work with iPhone 4... My only wish is if there was a function to change playlists..... It won't fall out from your ears whatsoever. You can head bang all day. AND!!! it is ultra comfortable. I can wear this all day long. It is not a Noice Cancelling earphone, but it blocks noise enough. The sound is very subjective. You will love it, or hate it. For frequency response, there are Too much bass!!!! The bass is clean, but mid range is not there until you crank volume. Voice somewhat sound like singing with mouth covered with a hand. I wish Bose reduced mid-bass by A LOT!!! For soundstage, it's wide, and there are tons of sound. For Transparency, I give 6 out of 10. Again, too much bass kills it. Seperation of instrument is 7 out of 10. You can hear all instruments, but hard to locate where and how far instruments are. It gives coloration at some point. But the coloration is what many people like (or dislike) Bose. Long word in short, If you are a heavy metal or rock, or techno fan, this is the right ear phone. But if you are an acoustic or vocal music fan, very high chance you will not like this.

SUPERIOR IN SOUND, DESIGN, COMFORT, COST & VALUE
Posted .I would recommend this to a friendThe BOSE MIE2i's just might possibly be one the BEST OVERALL STEREO HEADPHONES EVER DESIGNED. SERIOUSLY. The BOSE MIE2i's premiere sound quality is by far the best overall sound quality I've ever heard from any set of In-Ear headphones and actually rivals even the high priced HD Studio headsets when it comes to sound clarity & deep bass reproduction without any of the added bulk or cost. Comfort and design is truly ingenious; the StayHear custom tips conform to your ears for the perfect fit and are amazing for those with an active lifestyle; running or working out. They fit so well you may even forget you're wearing them at times. Cost and overall value for your dollar is second to none. To some the $129 price tag for these headphones may be too steep for you but when compared to similar headsets in the same price range such as The Dr. Dre PowerBeats ($149) and The Monster Turbines ($179) both of which I've purchased and used myself, the BOSE MIE2i's are superior every area and cost $20-$50 less. The PowerBeats excel in design but lack in reproducing that true deep bass sound. The Monster Turbines have excellent sound quality but aren't made for the active/sport type and will fall out constantly while jogging or running. Simply put, The BOSE MIE2i's are the very best all-around headphones I've ever purchased or used. Delivers from all angles with amazing performance, true surround sound and clarity, great comfort and value all wrapped up in one. A RECOMMENDED MUST BUY FOR ANYONE LOOKING FOR THE ELITE. A+++

Bose skeptic
Posted .I would recommend this to a friendBose review Let's get a few things clear, I HATE Bose products with a passion. With the exception to their military headsets which save our soldier's hearing on a regular basis I cannot stand the sound quality or form factor of most of their products.? Secondly I almost never review products, even if I hate them.??I'm also quite familiar with Bose's "better sound through advertising" scheme.? I know what your thinking "Then why the positive review mister Bose hater?" well they got a lot of things right no one else did. Let me explain. I purchased these to use at the gym specifically. So a few features were important to me in particular... Sports style - either in ear or over ear or behind the head. I really didn't care which i just wanted comfort. Sweat resistant - I sweat a lot and I don't want them falling out when I get sweaty. Comfort - I knew it was a stretch asking for comfort from a sports style so I gave up looking for that. iPod control - I use my iPhone for all of my music so I definitely needed this feature.? Sound quality - I'm an audio technician by trade so I know what the music is "supposed" to sound like and what to expect from tiny ear Buds. So I had my mission and set out to find these fabled ear buds. Price doesn't scare me because quite frankly how much are YOUR ears worth to you? Naturally I sought out some of the most expensive models out there, I quickly realized the gimmick everyone is using is jamming the earbud so far inside your ear canal you have no choice but to hear the bass at almost any volume level. I find those terribly uncomfortable so after trying a few in the ranges of $50-$200 I decided I need to look for 'around the ear' support and Sony had a couple that were pretty comfortable as well as sennheiser but they all lacked audio quality or construction quality.? All this research and testing finally led me to the MEI2i which I had ignored early on due to the branding. And even after skeptically reading the shining amazon review of these things I decided to try them with much reserve.? And I hated them!? But only at first. The ear bud wings really need to be fitted carefully. I went back and forth between the large and medium wings and settled on the medium which initially I thought were too small but only because they felt like they were going to fall out. That turned out to be the trick in sizing them. As soon ad they feel too loose then you've found the right size. Despite the loose feeling they won't fall out unless you really pull them out. This was the key to the extreme comfort they offer.? Second thing was audio quality. First impression was BLAH they sounded muddy with no bass and treble too high. But after listening to my music for about 30 mins I decided the reduced bass wasn't so bad and made for less ear fatigue. Then while ?listening to the treble carefully I realized I was hearing the vocals of my music very clear. Even able to make out lyrics that were previously too dull to understand. They are very comfortable to listen to even after long periods of playing. Not audiophile quality but a very acceptable. I did eventually turn on my iPod's EQ to "treble reducer" which decreased listening fatigue further.? They aren't completely perfect though, the overall color scheme is TERRIBLE black and white stripped? Seriously? Boo But that wasn't a deal breaker for me. Enough to ding em a star and ruin a perfect review though.? The rest of the construction was average, nothing special if a bit generic not what you'd expect for the money, but construction doesn't effect perceived quality. However the silicone ear bits are very well formed and you can tell a lot went into their design. My fianc?e with her smaller ears loved the feel too. She usually hates ear buds as they?won't stay in for her, these were an exception.? Still not a Bose "lover" but I was impressed by these.? Suck it up and pay the price, very worth it.

Cheaper isn't better
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendI bought a pair of monster sport in-ears at the same time. Tried them first because they were $50. Not only did the in ear wings make my ears throb the sound was just ok. I played a range of tracks with a range of EQ settings on my iPhone. I put the Bose in-ears in. The wing tips fit well and snug, they are light and don't hurt. And they sound AMAZING!! Without a doubt! TOTALLY WORTH IT! I recommend this to everyone!!

comfortable, convient, costly >.>
Posted .I would recommend this to a friendpretty pricy from upfront view of sticker price but it has a couple points that stands out from other high end ear buds for the idevice family; sound quality is quite superb since bose is known for bass and clarity ratings it should be obvious of the quality, this is my first bose product so i dont have any bias about it, but i do know they have a high image for audio quality. no scratchy bass or vocals and loud music doesnt sound distorted, which is important if yu want to enjoy that favorite power song during a workout routine; i would recommend these for active audiophiles since i tried nike over earphones and klipsch in earbuds which are pretty much pricy to start out with but they had the problem of comfort and mobility; the nike ones basically didnt hold fast upon the outer ear and the in earbuds felt uncomfortable since yu had to shove them deep into your mid ear to get a good sound reference; so it was the tradeoff of comfort vs sound quality comparing those two. after some time i just bought this headset since i been eying them for a while and they looked unique compared to others so it gives a classy aesthetic appeal. the ear clips attach to the outer ear canal so it basically blends in with your ear and it keeps a steady firm hold; the ear piece basically is a mold for your ear (and majority of people will use the medium sized), that prevents from much sound bleeding from your ear, so even though it says its not noise cancelling, it does a better job directing sound to your ear so it doesnt have to be noise cancelling; and i find it does more harm to just neglect your surroundings by becoming completely deaf if it is the case. microphone is omnidirectional which means it will pick up any sound in proximity which comes pretty standard on all "i" headsets the remote is a little underpar with the mainstream design and it doesnt look as pleasing as the rest of the product but it functions the same as all others and seems quite durable, also the wiring and insulation of the cords are quite durable as well and they stay out of your face since i usually found that my lower jaw would be irritated by other ear buds rubbing against my cheeks. the remote is positioned a few inches below the right ear piece which at first i thought i was going to be a design flaw but is actually a smart move since many athletes would fish the cord behind their shirts and regular remotes are on the mainline which would be covered; but bose has specifically noticed this flaw and brought the remote up near the neck area so you can have a nice obviously place to navigate rather than digging around your shirt. only design complaint is that the input jack is at an angle which i fear it might wear down the cord around the plug since it can get caught in more things than if it were just a straight jack.......... i use these with my asus g73jh and my iphone 4, itouch 2g, ipad 1g, and sharing

Great earbuds for me!
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendMy wife initially purchased the Bose MIE2i headset to use with her phone. She didn't realize the headset controls wouldn't work with her phone. I swapped her my Bose IE2 headset for her MIE2i headset. Same great sound, really nice for iPhone, also works with my MacBook Pro.........GREAT, except now my wife wants an iPhone and her MIE2i headset back. Looks like I have some more shopping to do!

Q: QuestionAre these sweat resistant?I want to use these while I cycle but tend to sweat a lot. will the sweat ruin the product?
Asked by KK.
- A:Answer The MIE2i are not sweat resistant, but the SIE2 sport headphones are. They're basically the same headphones, but one is specifically designed for the activity that you are purchasing it for. Personally, though, I use the MIE2i when I'm cycling and haven't encountered any problems due to sweat or weather issues (and I rode for 20+ miles in a downpour last summer while using them).
