Top notch sound quality
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great piece of kit -- you really get what you pay for. I've been an avid Bose fan for years, and these headphones did not disappoint. The only minor gripe is the fact you need to have the noise cancellation switched on at all times. If you turn it off, you get no sound. I often forget I have the headphones turned on when not in use, resulting in drained AAA battery. But hey, otherwise, my experiences have been PERFECT. The sound quality is epic! Highly recommended.

The best pair of headphones on the market!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Bose QC15 headphones are Bose's top of the line acoustic noise canceling headphones. They have a very classy look and feel to them, and they are made with the same precision that we have come to know and love from Bose products. Pros: - Very high build quality: thick and durable plastic and soft touch padding - Perfect amount of padding on the headband and around the ear cups - Headphones can extend to fit almost any head size comfortably - Ear cups are attached to a twisting and swiveling mount that adjusts comfortably to your head - Comes with long audio cable, inline remote and microphone cable, and airline adapter - Comes in a hard and durable carrying case that protects your headphones on the go Cons: - Price Sound quality: - These headphones sound amazing. Every genre that I have listened to sounds great. Rock, jazz, hip hop, rap, you name it - it all sound incredible. - The vocals, instruments, and bass are all clear and easily heard - Very crisp and full sound - The noise canceling technology does a great job of canceling out environmental noise. It can even cancel out cabin noise on a plane. If you would like to see a more comprehensive review, please feel free to watch my in-depth video review that I made for my YouTube channel. I cover everything from the build quality to how these headphones work and perform. Video review: http://goo.gl/Gu9qt Thanks for reading and watching! WhatLukeSays

Outstanding
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've tried many different noise canceling headphones & these still are the best. Comfort and noise reduction is amazing. Pricey, but I could spend more on some Beats and not get the performance. Not as nice looking, but that's not what I'm paying for.

Best money I have spent
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I travel back and forth to China for business and these headphones have made the long flights extremely easy! They have superb sound and the clarity is definitely what you would expect from Bose. I also use these headphones almost daily listening to music and using them during conference calls. They are perfect to use during calls because they drown out the background noise and allow you to hear the voices so much easier than it would be without these. I was so impressed with these headphones that two days later I went back to Best Buy and bought my wife a pair. The only minor complaint that I have is the battery life could be better but considering the quality surrounding these headphones and the performance from the noise cancellation, I can understand why I have had to change the batteries as often as I have. Please keep in mind that I use these headphones almost daily for the last three months and have had to change the battery out three times. That includes 15+ hour of flight to China, plus every day listening to music and having phone calls. My wife has had her headphones for three months and the same battery that came with the headphones is still alive and well with hers. You walk out with this purchase and you have everything you need to start using them which I thought was a nice touch by Bose to include all the accessories. I have recommended these already and will continue to recommend these headphones. Especially if you are a frequent traveler like we are. If you haven't bought a pair of these, and are going on a trip [especially overseas] I encourage you to purchase these. If not, at least pay attention to all the passengers that have the Bose QC15's on their head during the flight. When I decided to look at buying a pair of headphones, I knew automatically what set I was going to get. However, I did decide to checked out the Beats because a couple of my friends had bought them. I can tell you that these QC15's blow the Beats out of the water. When I tried the noise cancellation with the Beats, I could hear a crackle and whistle noise the entire time they were engaged. I already knew I was going to get the Bose, but testing out the Beats just confirmed what I had already decided. You will not regret getting these. Especially if you plan to use them as much as I have in these three short months.

Versatile, effective & comfortable ANR headset
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I used ANR headsets (not Bose) in my day job with great satisfaction. When I retired and noticed my hearing wasn't what it once was, I began a search for the perfect stereo headset for use at home. I wasted a lot of money lookting -- more than 3x the price of the Bose QC15. Then I took the plunge. I've never been happier with a product. I use the QC15s for listening to music mostly. But I've discovered that it makes it much easier for me to follow the rapid-fire witty banter on many TV programs. This headset is lightweight and places little pressure on the temples for proper noise cancelling results. The quality of music reproduction is amazing; and the quality seems uniform throughout my personal frequency range of hearing. This adds up to uninterupted comfort and enjoument even while watching a 3-hour DVD! A big plus is that its having an easily detachable cord makes it very easy to use it "wireless" as a hearing protector while running the vacuum or while doing other noisy indoor chores (I'd like to use it mowing, but I don't think Bose intended it to be used in a sweaty, dirty, rough-house environment). My professional experience as a pilot put me in the company of many colleagues who used Bose aviation headsets. To a person they all swore by them. It seems to me that the QC15 headsets share many of the quaities of the commercial units, so I expect that the QC15s will be similarly durable. Though I have not yet tried them as a passenger on an airliner, I have several friends who say they won't go without their Bose! Downside? Maybe the battery . It's a cinch that if you fail to turn the QC15s off when not in use then the battery will be quickly depleted. Though having been very careful to turn them off after every use, I seem to only be able to get about 15 hours of use from a battery. I'm using top-quality batteries that are fairly new. It may turn out that batteries from a different batch may last longer. Regardless, I believe that the QC15 headset from Bose would be worth it to me if I had to change the battery every day! I highly recommend the Bose QC15 headset to anyone looking for a lightweight, comfortable and great-sounding stereo headset. They will be getting a very effective hearing protector in the bargain!

Q: QuestionIf i compare Bose Q15 with Monster Beats Pro Special Edition Detox Professional HeadphonesWhich one is better please help ,kind of lost
Asked by Imusicfanatic.
- A:Answer We believe our QC15 headphones provide an unmatched combination of improved noise reduction, audio performance and comfortable fit. The best way to judge any set of headphones is with your own ears. We would strongly suggest you take the opportunity to try them out in person at a local retailer and compare the noise reduction, audio performance, comfort and convenience for yourself.

Q: QuestionAre batteries necessary, how long do they last?I understand that the batteries are necessary for the noise cancellation, however are they necessary for just simple music playing? Also, do they last a good amount of time before needing replacement? Much appreciated.
Asked by Lovvie.
- A:Answer Thanks for your inquiry. A single AAA alkaline battery is required for both noise cancellation and audio playback (headset needs to be powered on during use). You should expect about 35 hours of battery life before needing replacement.

Q: QuestionDoes it completely block out noise even if you are not listening to music, like to sleep with people talking around you?I would like to use it to help me sleep on an airplane with people tallking around me but I don't want to have the music playing during that time. Does it block out noise by just putting them on, but not music playing? Thank you
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer Thank you for the question. The amount of cancellation will vary depending upon the amount of external noise. In addition, the noise cancellation feature on all of our noise canceling headphones is active regardless of whether music is playing or not. They headphones just need to be powered on for it to work.

Q: QuestionWhich Bose noise cancellers are best?If I want to buy the best headphones for a friend, and have no idea whether he prefers in-ear or over-ear, which would be best --Bose Quiet comfort 3's or 15's?
Asked by Michelle.
- A:Answer I would always pick over the ear. Over the ear have both passive and active noise reduction. On the ear like my Sonys, only have active noise reduction. In the ear like ear buds are another story. I compared both the Bose QC-15 and the Dr. Dre Studio through several tests for a few hours to try to decide which pair I wanted to buy, (I also own an older $80 Sony). My local best buy did not have a demo pair of Dr. Dre so the salesman told me I could buy both of them and then bring back the pair that I didn't want, so that is what I did. Not a difficult choice after my test. Bose wins easily here is my ratings in a scale of 1-100 Sound Quality: Bose 92, Dr. Dre 95, Sony 80 Comfort after 1 hour: Bose 100, Dr. Dre 90, Sony 90 Noise Reduction: Bose 100, Dr. Dre 75, Sony 75 Overall: Bose 100, Dr. Dre 85, Sony 80 The Dre maybe has a slightly better sound because of bass, but it is marginal. Dre are comfortable but much heavier than Bose. Noise reduction is 4x better with Bose, huge difference! Easy decision now.

Q: QuestionHow do these headphones block out the sounds of office workers...engaging in screaming, laughing, hitting each other, loud talkers on neighboring telephones?
Asked by lucy.
- A:Answer You don't even need to be playing anything or be plugged in, if the device is turned on it activates the white noise feature to cancel out the surrounding noises. Be away that you will need batteries handy. They say you will need to swap out the battery every 10 hours or so; although, I have gotten longer. Either way, you may need to swap out batteries more than I do. I use it 1-2 hrs a day, which is enough to get me through crunch time especially if the spreadsheet I am working on is complicated. Hope this helps.

Q: QuestionUse for chatting and gamingI love these headphones, but for this price, I have to be careful that they would be multi-purpose for me. If they can cover all aspects of my needs for headphones, then it's a definite buy. Can anyone help me with the following questions I have? I have a Macbook Pro, and one cable provided with the purchase is an apple-compatible in line remote and mic. I'm interested to know the input/output quality for speech, as I use Vent to chat with friends while play D3. I was also wondering if game sound quality would be good, too. Right now I use the apple earbuds, so I imagine that sound quality would at LEAST be the same as it's been, which is perfect for me. Also, I've heard of android compatible cables being sold on the Bose site, has anybody ever made a call with these on? Who is outgoing and receiving sound quality there, too? Thanks!
Asked by Lovvie.
- A:Answer Thanks for your question! The QC15’s would certainly work well for your application. The included Apple cable is compatible with the MacBook Pro (after 2009). (Complete compatibility list is found here: http://bit.ly/O8CE5t ) You should expect excellent audio quality from both incoming gaming audio as well as outgoing microphone transmission. We also make a Mobile Communications Kit for our QC15 headphones for use with other third party products, such as Android based phones. This accessory can be seen here: http://bit.ly/NS2j2k You should expect the same high quality performance from this accessory as with the QC15’s and included cables. Thank you.
