Good sound in a small speaker
Posted .Pros mentioned:Battery, Ease of use, PortableThe speaker sound pretty good for it's size. I am no audiophile and don't really have an ear for details but I enjoy this speaker. It sounds better than my older JBL charge 2+ speaker and few other speakers that I have heard. The sound is real 360 degree and it easily fills up the biggest room in my house. It maintains the sound quality even at the max volumes (you would expect that from a $200 speaker :)). It sounds good even outdoor and in my backyard. It's small size makes it easy to carry. It holds the battery pretty good. I play it for around 30 mins everyday and I haven't charged it for almost 2 weeks. So both playback as well as stand by battery performance seems to be good. It's shock and IPX4 water resistant which means it can handle mild shocks and splashes. So, overall a pretty good speaker which sounds very good and easy to handle because if it's size and specifications (long batter life, shock and water resistance).

Tons of sound, but lacking in the bottom end!
Posted .Pros mentioned:Battery, Ease of use, SizeThe mystery is finally revealed - The Bose Revolve Bluetooth Speaker is here and it is ready to wow owners with whole room or home sound! Easy to use, easy to setup, the newest speaker from Bose has tons of sound from across the sound spectrum, but can be lacking a bit in the bottom end if you are not using HD sound recordings. PROS - Enough sound to fill a room or a home! - Amazing quality of sound across the spectrum, you can hear every note and sound well - Minimal footprint - Wireless - Bluetooth - Easy Setup, Easy Connect - Solid, Well built - The must-have companion Charging Dock make for easy, no-nonsense charging - Quick charge, 1 hour to full charge CONS - Low end sounds can suffer with poor quality recordings - Only HD/Digital Recordings are recommended on this unit Battery Life still uncertain. Appears to be approximately 8-10 hours on complete charge with constant use, but this is only a guess based on 1 hour of use and 90% battery remaining. The only reason for 4 out of 5 star rating is the cost to low end frequency sound. I am concerned that not everyone will have access to HD quality sound recordings. Older non-digital recordings didn't have the same crisp sound quality on this speaker and lost the quality mostly in the lows... it got swampy and muddy. Yes, this was a result of the quality of recording, not the equipment, but when you pay for premium equipment you expect some correction for this as well, thus my rating. On everything recorded digitally, it was amazing! Enjoy!

360 degrees of Sound from Bose
Posted .Pros mentioned:Ease of use, Portable, SizeThis is the first speaker I have ever used that emits sound in all directions equally. After using for a while and playing with the app, I am very impressed with the ease of use, sound quality and portability of the speaker. Overall build quality - Coming in at around 6" tall, the speaker is easy to pick up and take with you wherever you are going, but has just the right amount of weight to not feel cheap. Like most Bose products, this speaker sticks with the Bose design philosophy with minimalistic styling so as not to be too intrusive in the room it is placed in. One interesting design feature is the included tripod mounting hole on the bottom of the speaker. This definitely allows for a lot of flexibility on where you can place this speaker in a room as you are not limited by where your tables, shelves, etc... happen to be located. However, I am guessing this is more for when you are having a party or if you are taking the speaker with you somewhere because I don't think most people are going to want to have a tripod mounted speaker as a permanent fixture in their homes. Sound Quality - For it's size the sounds quality is very good. The speaker is able to get very loud without noticeable distortion. Bass leaves a bit to be desired but, again, is decent considering the size. This speaker can easily fill a large room with high fidelity sound. App and Ease of Use - When the speaker is turned on, it will automatically pair with any devices it can find that it has paired with in the past - it will pair with up to 2 devices at the same time. If it does not find a recognized devices to pair with, it will immediately go into pairing mode. This is a very nice feature as you do not need to hold down any buttons for long periods of time to initiate pairing mode. The app is also well designed and shows which Bose product you are managing, which devices are connected to the speaker and allows you to disconnect devices as well. Volume can be controlled with buttons on the top of the speaker, or via the app as well. I personally prefer to use the app as it is easy to tell what the volume level is based on the slider position and percentage indicator. If you are playing music from the phone running the app, you can also see what track is being played and skip back and forth between tracks all within the Bose connect app. Bose's specialty has always been big high quality sound in a small package, and I think they used their audio engineering expertise to achieve a true 360 degree speaker that can fill a room with sound without any dead zones. This is a clear advantage over most other Bluetooth speakers out there.

Baby Bose Big Sound
Posted .Pros mentioned:Battery, Ease of use, SizeEveryone knows what Bose is known for and this little guy doesn’t stray from that. Straight off the back of the box you are informed; Deep, loud and immersive sound (I agree but the speaker is only size of your hand so don’t expect your whole home to be immersed) True 360-degree sound (I agree, spun the entire speaker and there were no missing sounds throughout) This really helps when you have it in a mutual spot and don’t want to exclude an area. Con to this is you may want to direct the music but can’t since it’s a full 360, so be careful where you put it. Water resistant and durable (doesn’t mean put it in the water but this guy is so small I can carry it to the tub, take a bath or shower, take it outside while I bar-b-que and then back inside to the kitchen while I finish cooking. One speaker for every location inside and outside my home). Right now its bedside because I’m sick, so I play jazz music to help me go to sleep. Bose Connect App enhances control (again back to how I’m using it now, instead of reaching over to change the song or volume, I just keep my phone close by, which I already do and control this little guy from my cell phone thru the app. Easy peezy) Con to connecting to your phone is getting messages, emails and phones to interrupt your music. Even more of a con, is if you have guests and other ppl connect to your Bose and decide to have a full conversation on your bose speaker, not cool. To avoid this just tell them to turn on ‘do not disturb’ and all should be fine. Up to 12 hours per full charge is really impressive. I see no reason for this not to happen unless you don’t let it play through and change the song, volume and such every 2 minutes. Set up was really easy. 1) I plugged in the cord to the Bose and then the cord to the wall plug, then plug that into a wall power source. 2) Then I pressed the plus sign and looked for English. Surprise, it’s the first language, so then I pressed the multi-use button and it was ready to pair. After pairing it through my Bose app, I changed its name (personal choice) and some other features to make it more functional to myself. Not too excited on trying to figure out what the Multi-use button will mean when I’m trying to use it. once for voice command, or play or pause or pick up the phone or hand up the phone. Heck I’m confused and the directions leave much to be desired or figured out in this case. Hah. The battery charging colors are pretty simple, green is good, blinking orange is charging, solid orange is half charged and red is Need to charge. The Bluetooth button will stay on when its connected to something. Overall I like the size and feel. The sound is synonymous to Bose quality but I’m not a fan of the multiuse button or the function that connects your calls and notifications to the speaker. The multiuse button does connect you to siri if you have an iphone and you can talk to it and ask it questions (what’s the weather, play a son, who won a game, cool right). Not sure if its small enough or the right shape to travel with either. I’ll give it a go and report back. It has a good design, so I say pop it in the middle of large room and let it play.

Bose does the best!
Posted .Pros mentioned:Ease of use, Size, Sound qualityWhat;s in the box ---------------------- Bose Revolve Bluetooth Speaker, Charging Adapter , Charging Cable and User guide How does it look --------------------- Looks like a mix of google home and Amazon Alexa, its got a nice weight and does not look plasticy, looks like a premium build quality, it is made of mostly metal and some plastic on top. Connectivity ---------------- Very simple , you put it in pairing mode and turn on Bluetooth on your source which can be a tablet/phone and pair the device to the speaker. There is also a help voice which tells you if the device has been paired and to which device (It speaks out the device name) Sound Quality ------------------ Excellent, Nice Highs and very well balanced lows. For the size, it puts out a good amount of sound without any distortion even on reaching the max volume. it can fill a 600 sqft room with good crisp sound. You can use it outdoor as well, it may not bother your neighbor at the same time, you can listen to good music at your deck or patio For the sound quality, i had a chance to compare it to TDK Life on Record speaker which is 9 times the size of this speaker and the Bose comes out on top. the volume may not be as high as the TDK but it beats the TDK in sound quality and Clarity Range -------- Range of connectivity might not be as good as my Sony Bluetooth Headphones, i think the range would be around 15 feet.

Keeps getting better!
Posted .Pros mentioned:Battery, Ease of use, Sound qualityI've been a big Bose fan forever owning a couple of headphones and TV soundbar. I currently have a Bluetooth Soundlink Mini that goes with me everywhere. The sound is amazing and it will fill an entire room. My only knock was that the sound is directional. Sound from behind was not as crisp and clear as in front. Not a huge problem but it works like most speakers delivering sound out in front. Now Bose kicks it up a notch with a great evolution of bluetooth speakers with the Soundlink Revolve! The Revolve is a rechargable vertical conical bluetooth speaker that delivers sound 360° around the speaker. It truly fills a room with great sound that you would expect from Bose. Pairing was simple and I was playing music in a matter of seconds. There are 6 buttons on top of the speaker: Power, Bluetooth, Aux input switch, Up Volume, Down Volume and Multifunction (which allows you to start, pause, next track, last track, and a mic button that you can use Siri). According to the instructions it's also NFC capable which since I'm connecting with an iPhone I can't test. There is an optional charging cradle that adds convenience to charging by setting the Revolve on the cradle rather than plugging in the speaker directly through a micro USB connection. I would suggest taking care when setting the Revolve on the cradle as I apparently accidentally touched the wrong contacts between the speaker and cradle and the speaker started emmitting a loud hum that I had to power off the speaker to get it to stop. Other than that everything works perfectly! The Soundlink Revolve replaces my Soundlink Mini in my backpack when I travel. Hats off to Bose for yet another great sound product!

Awesome Speaker!!
Posted .Pros mentioned:Battery, Ease of use, Sound qualityThe Bose Soundlink revolve is an awesome bluetooth speaker. Unlike the older Soundlink model this one has a new circular standup design. This is great for a couple reasons. It takes up less space on the surface, the sound is 360 degrees, and it can be placed in something like a cup holder of a chair. In the box you get the speaker, a micro usb cable and and a power brick for charging. The pairing process was very simple after taking it out of the box you can simply power It on and select your language. After the language is selected you can go into your bluetooth settings and connect to the speaker. The battery life for the speaker is decent rated around 10 hours. Their is an optional docking cradle which will allow you to set the speaker on top of it for charging. It can be used while charging and then quickly grabbed for on the go. The speaker does have some weight to it but overall is lightweight and can easily be carried in a bag, My only complaint about it is that it does not seem to be extremely loud but for a speaker of this size it does what it is expected.

Q: QuestionCan you hook up more than one tablet or smartphone to this speaker?

Q: QuestionHow does the $199 model compare to the $299 model? In other words, what am I getting for that extra $100?
Asked by Mark.
- A:Answer I had this same question, myself. Coming from a sound link mini, I was wanting just a bit more volume, and was considering the Revolve+. I decided to try the standard size, and it is plenty for me. The sound quality is better than the Mini, with more bass, from a speaker that fits in the water bottle holster on my backpack. The main difference, from what I'm reading, is volume, and a bit of a bass boost. I can't imagine needing either one over the regular sized revolve, unless you plan on trying to have a rocking party outside in an open space (the regular sized one loses some of its punch when you're out in the open, but it's still plenty if you're listening at a lower volume when gathered around it with friends. You can't go wrong with either one, if you ask me, but the small one is plenty for what I was looking for.
