Good product, but could be better
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had a Bose wired headphone, but it was broken after 10 years of use. Since I was so happy about its sounc quality I decided to gave Bose another try. I was hoping the sound quality would be same as my old headphone, just add bluetooth to be more convenient. However when I got the headphoe I immediately reallized the bluetooth version is not quite as good as my old wired one. It is very obvious that the base is no where near the old one. The mid and high frequency section is ok, but I still feel it is not as good as before. Also compared with another bluetooth headphone I tried (from SONY) the wireless range is shorter. (But it is good enough for everyday use.) The battery life is not very good. Need to recharge after 4 to 6 hour. Bose did very well in the following area: 1) It is light weight. This is really important if you wabt to wear it for more than 30 minutes. 2.The headband is perfect. It does not look as fancy as some other name brand headphones, not it is tight enough so that it won't fell off. At the same time it is not over tight, so that you still feel comfortable after long hours of wearing. 3. It can connect to two bluetooth devices at the same time. This is very convenient. You can use one for your phone, and the other for your computer. 4. Some people may not like the external bluetooth receiver, but I am ok with that. The function buttons are well designed, so that you can adjust volume, pick up calls, start / stop music very easily. In general I like this product. but just a little disappointed about its sound quakity at low frequency. Overall I think this is a very good bluetooth headphone.

Freedom & Quality Combined
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am a computer database programmer and love listening to music while I write/analyze code. I have been very fond of earbuds simply because they provide quality music at high volumes without disturbing neighbors and they block out most external/environment noise. After fighting wires daily I started searching wireless options and purchased about 5 pair of the top headphones offering A2DP connectivity (to connect with my iphone and/or computer). I loved never missing a call since my headphones were directly connected to my phone, however it became inconvenient changing songs and volume on another screen (looking away from the computer). After testing the Sennheiser M550X, Logitech 9000, Monster Beats Exec, Bose AE2 and Bose QC15's... I really expected the Sennheiser to blow me away (priced highest at $500). But they didn't! I found myself reaching for the AE2's (wired version) more than any others. They were no doubt the most comfortable headphones compared to any I had ever tried, which was important to me since I planned on using these daily at work. Not only did these offer ideal comfort but they supply superb sound quality (I consider myself an amateur audiophile). However they didn't solve my wire frustrations... Then I came across these AE2W's and found the answer to all my problems! Connected via bluetooth to my Computer AND iPhone 5, I couldn't be happier! I never miss a call and found that connecting to my computer [for music management] has streamlined efficiency in my daily tasks for a much more pleasant experience! A++ Bose! If you can scrap up enough to afford these headphones I would highly recommend them!!

HEAVEN
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I wasn't excited to spend the $250ish on a set of headphones. At age 44 I guess I'm getting old and think that's just stupid when you can get a wired version for $1 at the dollar store. Well, the upside is I'm 44 with a job and it doesn't much matter that I spent $249 more then I needed to. I'm past the point of buying garbage. I want the finer things in life and these things rock. I wear them mostly at the gym connected to my iPad. The sound quality is perfect. They are way more comfortable than I thought a pair of over the ear headphones could feel. I could go on and on but I think I can sum this up by saying they are just what one would expect from Bose. If you've never had a Bose product you might not get it, but you should, because you are missing out.

Bose quality sound without the wires
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Having had these for a few weeks, I can say they are awesome wireless headphones. I previously used the Bose AE2 on a daily basis at work but tended to use earbuds during my commute. Without the wires, the listening experience is much more enjoyable and I feel comfortable traveling while wearing these. The sound quality is great, battery life is good enough to use it almost all day without charging and recharging is easy and quick via USB. The included standard Bose headphone wire connector is handy for non-Bluetooth situations or if recharging isn't convenient. The only problem I experienced was when multiple devices were connected at the same time via Bluetooth and there would be audio distortion or inconsistent audio quality/skipping. While it might be useful for multiple devices to work together at the same time, it isn't a typical use case scenario so I won't hold it against them.

Beats Beats
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The sound quality of these compared to my wireless Beats is vastly superior. The bass is not muddy and the highs (which were nonexistent on the Beats) are clear and realistic. The Beats reminded me of why people sometimes refer to headphones as "cans" because that's how they sounded: like I was wearing a bucket over my head. And the Bose are much more lightweight and comfortable to wear; the Beats exert a lot of pressure on the ears. Initially I shied away from the Bose because they aren't as pretty or fashionable as Beats, but it didn't take long after comparing the sound quality to choose Bose. I guess if you're concerned about projecting status and have owl-like auditory perception the Beats will be ok for you, but if you insist on hearing every nuance and feeling the energy in your music, as well as wearing longer with more comfort, then Bose is the choice.

Most comfortable headphones ever
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really wanted some Around the Ear Bluetooth Headphones so I could listen to my music, be free to roam around the house and block everything out while other family members were watching tv or playing video games. I went in store to "try on" what I thought I wanted and they felt clunky and uncomfortable. So, I started looking at other models and wondered over to the Bose section. Actually out of my price range but decided "hey, why not try them on" Instantly I fell in love with them. They were soooo comfortable and just felt amazing on my head. They sounded better than others I had been looking at also. I left the store and kept an eye on these and when they went on sale, I bought them asap. I listen to Dubstep occasionally and no problem with the bass. They also fold up really nice into the little bag they come with. Another bonus I wasn't expecting. I have extra room in the basket where I keep them to put other things. I love these and don't feel guilty about spending more than I normally would. No regrets !!

Could not be better
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased these headphones in March 2015 mainly to be used on a new Samsung curved 65" T.V. I had bought. I like to have the T.V. Loud when I watch and I live with my cousin that goes to bed early, so you see my problem. The headphone were set up in less than 2 minutes. The sound is amazing to say the least. The really compliment the TV. For the first few times I used the headphones I found myself taking them off thinking I would wake my cousin, only to realise what a great purchase I had made. The main reason I went for Bose was that I already had a pair of wired headphones for the last 10 years that I use a lot on my IPad and stero equipment. I would highly recommend these headphones to anyone, they are worth every cent.

Great Sound Quality
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased these for use in travel an in the office. I really like the fact that these can be used with the bluetooth module or with a direct wired connection. Really good battery time on a full charge. The headset lasted for 2.5 days with continual listening for 6 to 7 hours each day and on the 3rd about 4 hours and then I had to charge which only took 2 hours. Sound quality is really good too. They are not designed for noise cancellling but do actually provide a little bit of it. As I have been using them on plane flights.

Q: Questiondo these headphones work with TV or just iPhone, iPad
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer I'm sure you've already found your answer by now, but I wanted to make sure this stone didn't go unturned. The Bose AE2W Headphones will work with any Bluetooth enabled device. However, your TV's Bluetooth is generally designed for keyboards and other devices that are not dependent on timing. The result being that you may experience some lag between the action on screen and the action in your ear.

Q: QuestionIs there an airplane mode for the AE2w if you want to listen to music on an IPad Also is there a jack lead to plug it into the aircraft system
Asked by Raj.
- A:Answer When not used wirelessly our AE2w headphones can disable use of the Bluetooth feature by powering them off. We include a standard 3.5mm connection audio cable with them that should fit most airplane jacks. We do not include an adapter for other types of connections, but these can be purchased at many retailers. Thank you.
