Love B&W
Posted .I’ve had my eyes on the the B&W 600 series for a while now. Finally picked them up and absolutely loving them! I am not using the proper receiver as I am waiting for the new line of pioneer elites to drop this summer. But for now they’re up and running and sounds amazing. I can only image how much better they’re going to sound once the proper receiver is pushing these bad boys

Pretty good!
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed.Detailed sound with a great soundstage. Surprisingly low bass extension. Need a lot of power amplification to open these up so I currently have them bi amped running about 250 watts to each. Placement is critical so play with the toe in and closeness to the wall when trying to find the best sound. I’ve found that placing them against the wall without toe in gives me the best treble response and bass response too. These will give you a nice and balanced sound. Good for classical music or music with a lot of vocals. Not the best for electronic, rap. Look to Klipsch if you want something with a rock, live sound. Look to def tech if you want more bass. I listened to both klipsch and def tech and thought the B&W were the most neutral and had the best soundstage.

Excellent main speakers
||Posted . Owned for 10 months when reviewed. This covers their use for music; I'm not a movie buff so won't try to review that. This is a fine pair of speakers. I've listened to a variety of music (primarily classical and hard rock) and really can't find a lot to fault them on. But you do want to make sure your system is properly set up. These are combined with a B&W ASW610 sub (also reviewed), which I find to be helpful for material with strong low bass content (organ, such as Saint-Saens's Organ symphony, or Alejandra Villarreal's bass work with The Warning). I'm using a Marantz SR5014 receiver. I followed the Marantz calibration process with all of the speakers. The overall sound is very clean, when the receiver is set up correctly (which in my case meant setting it to use the subwoofer for all content, and put it in pass-through mode rather than any processing). Trying to listen to music with the receiver or other amplifier in a surround setting is frustrating and will not give you a good indication of the quality of these speakers (it's usually in that mode because my spouse watches mostly movies and wants the surround).

Incredible Sound
||Posted .I upgraded from the Klipsch R820's to the B&W 603 and the difference is incredible. The whole spectrum of the soundstage is much more even and robust. The mid-range is crystal clear and CLEAN! With the Klipsch's Id have to make Treb / bass adjustments between styles of music and from song to song, I no longer have to make the adjustments. (within reason) I wasnt crazy about the jump in price between the two brands and was hesitant to make the move but now that I've heard first hand the quality of the sound, it was well worth it. Receiver is Marantz SR1503.

Blown away!
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed.Using these as my fronts in my home theater for movies and music. I’m pushing these with my Yamaha aventage receiver and paired them with the B&W center channel, surrounds and sub. The sound scape produced by this setup in my small room is nothing short of amazing. They were considerably more expensive than other brands but in my opinion well worth it. They look awesome in my room! I was so impressed with the sound when listening to music that I purchased another pair just for my office 2 channel system. Even my 60 year old ears could hear the difference in the sound produced by these speakers. For music or movies you won’t be disappointed!

Worth every penny
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed.I hadn't purchased a complete stereo system in over 30 years. I did a lot of research to find the best system in my price range. I was able to listen to the Bowers Wilkins 603 S2's in the showroom. I was not familiar with the maker. I went home and did some more research and found out that BW were highly rated. I went back and purchased a pair of the BW 603 S2's, a pair of the 606 S2's, the 700 series center channel along with the 8in sub woofer. I've spent the last few weekends listening to my collection of music and movies. These speakers have given my collection new life and has reignited my passion for music. I'm good for the next 30 years.

Freat speakers
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed.I’ve had these for 6 months now in a small room so I don’t know how they’ll sound in a larger space . To date they are the most expensive speakers I’ve owned but in this case i think you get what you pay for. I noticed while listening to music i hear subtle nuisances I’ve never heard before as well as a much larger sound field . I bought these to bi wire them it was kind of hard to tell if they sound that much better in that configuration. I’ve added the b&w 606 book shelf pair and the small center for home theater Listening .
