Serious Quality Of Sound
I have heard many different high end speakers in my may years of being a sound tech and an engineer. Today I got a chance to experience these Bowers & Wilkins - 800 Series Diamond Dual 10" Passive 3-Way Floor Speakers and I was astounded on the shere quality of sound and the musice reproduction these speakers produced. Listening to a piece of music that Brian Culberson played on his Mason and Hamelton grand piano, sounded like I was really listening to him in person and not through a set of speakers. The clarity and the accuracy of these speakers are VERY hard pressed to beat. I listend to other high end brands such as Martin Logan and I have to say that these had an edge on the quality over the LOGANS. I will tell you that these speakers are not for the average user where as these speakers were designed for the SERIOUS and most critical audiophile. Also not for the average person to set one of these speakers up to your average amp. It takes a trained sound tech to place these speakers and it is critical for one to make sure that these speakers are matched and set up with the correct equipment in order to get the full potential out of these units.
If you can spring for the nearly $16K price tag for each speaker, and have them set up correctly, you will be mesmorized on the superior quality and accuracy of the sound reprodution these speakers where designed to do.
