Yes it is expensive and there are other sub woofers out there that are less expensive and have similar specifications. But face it....if your going with high end speakers, you may as well go with the high end matching sub woofer. I have 2 CM S2 subs. I am extremely happy with them. Music sounds great, LFE in movies are incredible. Very powerful even at low volume. I had to move one of the subs away from a window in fear of damaging the window seal. Had a Scary movie playing and I could feel the floor and the window blinds vibrating as well as hear the window panes vibrating and could hear no sound which tells me that the low end frequency response awesome. Bowers and Wilkins.....great products. Purchase and enjoy....you can't go wrong.

While expensive, it is necessary to complete a stereo system driven by any amp. I'm using Rotel components to complete my system and I am pleased with the listening experience.
