The new Bowers & Wilkins PX7 wireless headphones are an outstanding option for a superb listening experience at home, traveling or in a noisy office. They combine ultra-premium audio reproduction, very effective noise suppression, easy-to-operate controls and a very long battery life. The famous Bowers & Wilkins quality is evident in every feature. Bowers & Wilkins was founded in 1966 in Worthing, England by John Bowers. It is one of the world’s premier developers of high-end speaker systems, aided by Sir Kenneth Grange since 1975. The quick set-up guide is a two-sided illustration of basic features. You have to download the 8 page owner’s guide from the Bowers & Wilkins website and the associated app to add some additional control features. The hard shell case is covered in a beautiful gray fabric and its elegance gives you your first indication that these headphones are premium quality. The headphones are also covered in a space grey fabric with a black leather-like surface on the ear pads and the headband. The frame is very lightweight but is constructed of a very strong and durable carbon fiber composite. The ear pads have super-soft memory-foam cushions for superb comfort and noise isolation. A USB-C cable recharges the lithium ion battery. A green LED light will flash during charging (up to 3 hours when fully discharged.) then glow continuously when they are fully charged. The stated music playing time of thirty hours seems conservative since I found the headphones would operate for nearly forty hours before fading out. The customizable auto-off feature aids this very long battery life. One nice feature here is that the USB-C cable allows you to listen to music from your computer while the earphones are charging. Press the power button and an audio prompt indicates when the power is on or off. Pair the earphones with your phone or other source via Bluetooth. An audio prompt guides you, but my phone paired them very quickly and without drama. A blue LED indicates the connection has been made. The connection remained very solid throughout my home, up to nearly 50 feet. These headphones use Qualcomm’s new aptX Adaptive Bluetooth codec which promises the best blend of full frequency response and low latency with rock-steady connection reliability. The headphones are fully adjustable and the very soft pads completely and comfortably enclose even the largest ears. The Bowers & Wilkins PX-7 are the most comfortable headphones I have ever worn. They are light (11.3 ounces) and have plenty of adjustment range to enable a perfect fit. The left and right earphones are clearly labeled with a large “L” and “R” on the inner surface. The earphone pads are fairly large (about 4 inches tall and 3 inches wide) so they qualify as “over ear” and they provide excellent sound isolation. You can wear them for many hours in perfect comfort and your ears will never complain. Pressing the ANC (automatic noise canceling) button turns on that feature with an audio announcement which indicates level (high, low, auto, off.) The ANC technology uses four microphones (two on each earphone) and is very effective for mid-frequency noise. I turned on both my shower and bathroom sink faucet and the noise (which would normally be very loud) was just a faint hiss which I could easily ignore while listening to the music. You can also allow ambient noise to pass through by pressing the ANC button for two seconds. Even without music playing the generous padding on the earphones provides excellent passive noise isolation. Further, you can adjust the degree of active noise cancellation using the Headphone Connect app. The PX7 would be a wonderful companion on a noisy airplane ride! Like all good Bluetooth earphones these will respond to various voice commands, allow you to interact with Siri, take calls, etc. Each earphone has some controls. The right side has the power, Bluetooth connection and volume controls. The volume control will also answer phone calls, skip tracks (forward and backward), pause and repeat tracks and summon Siri. The left side has the noise cancelation control. One clever feature is the Wear Sensor which shuts off power and pauses music when you remove the headphones. The real value of the PX-7 headphones however, is not the noise-cancellation, but rather the incredibly rich sound experience they provide. They have an extremely accurate reproduction of music from lowest bass through mid-range notes and on to the highest frequencies. I played every range of music, from classical, blues, hard rock, jazz and a full range of vocals (opera through folk ballads) and these superb headphones never disappointed me. The sound quality is just beautiful. My ultimate test for headphones is to play a complex jazz classic on them and compare that sound to the very expensive reference speakers on my old school, top-of-the-line stereo system. For the PX7 test I chose the album, “Kind of Blue” by Miles Davis, perhaps the greatest jazz recording of all time. With this amazing music the Bowers & Wilkins PX7 showed me what it can really do. The Miles trumpet solos were clean and bright, I could literally feel the bass strumming and drum solos as though they were right in front of me, the Bill Evans piano riffs were perfect and the brilliance of Cannonball and Trane were undiminished. The PX7 transported me back to that historic 1959 recording date. If I walked into my study and turned on my five figure stereo system to the same music I might be able to isolate some minor differences from the reproduction achieved by these headphones, but that is just a “might.” And if I did that I am not sure that I would be able to consistently tell the difference even in pieces like “Kind of Blue” for which I know every note. I really cannot give these wonderful Bowers & Wilkins PX7 headphones a higher compliment than that. One point that deserves note – the drivers are 43.6 mm, not 40 mm as indicated on the box. I am surprised that Bowers & Wilkins made this error. But 43.6 mm drivers are nearly 19% larger than 40 mm drivers. That greatly enhances their reproduction ability. I subjected these headphones to various extensive sound tests on YouTube and they passed each trial flawlessly. Just a few complaints: First, no owner’s manual is included! There is a thick Safety and Warranty booklet (which no one will ever read) but you have to download the little 8 page owner’s manual. The Connect app is very limited, lacking an equalizer or sound mode selections. Finally, while the headphones fold to fit their case they remain pretty bulky. But would any of these minor issues make me regret this purchase? No way! Bottom line - the Bowers & Wilkins PX7 noise-canceling Bluetooth headphones are an excellent choice for even the most discerning music fans who want a very comfortable headset, superb noise isolation and beautiful sound reproduction. They are a perfect choice for traveling and would pass boring hours in airports and on planes with gold stars for quality, sound level and range. I can confidently award this amazing product a full five stars and my full, unqualified endorsement. Buy these if you really love music and know with certainty that you will never question that investment!

The Bowers & Wilkins PX7 noise-canceling headphones work wired or with Bluetooth, look great, and have a very comfortable fit! The battery life is excellent too! Sound Of course one of the main reasons you buy nice headphones is for excellent sound quality. The PX7 definitely has no problem here! Bass is deep, treble is clear and crisp, and vocals are natural. Whether I was listening to a SciFi TV show or 24-bit FLAC classical music the sound was full, crisp, and clear. I played a number of different styles of music as well. The PX7 never disappointed me. It also works great on the phone. I have already used it for many hours at work and people can hear me fine and of course I have no problem hearing them. I didn't get any complaints from people I talked to about background noise while I was talking. Features The PX7 headphones have adaptive noise cancellation. I'll get into that more later. They work over wired or wireless - and include an 1/8th" stereo cable as well as a USB-C charging cable. As you read above it has a mic so you can use it for phone calls as well. One very cool feature is the auto pause and resume. If you're watching or listening to something and you lift one side off your ear it will automatically pause the content that's playing, audio or video, and then start playing again when you place the side back over your ear. This is a very convenient feature! It does the same thing if you take off the entire headset and then put it back on. The PX7 comes with a very nice hard case. Make sure you have the sides turned in when you put the headphones in the case. That may not make sense now but if it doesn't close easily you probably have it backwards. There is also an app! It took me a few minutes to find the right one. The first one I tried was not for this headset even though it was also a Bowers & Wilkins headphones app. Make sure you find the app that mentions the PX7 in the app description. Once you have the right app it's simple to setup and use. The app is pretty basic, no EQs, but it does give you additional controls for the noise cancellation as well as changing setting like for the voice prompts, wear sensor, and standby timer. Controls There are right earphone has volume up, volume down, play/pause, and a switch for power and Bluetooth pairing. The left earpiece has one button and that's a toggle for the noise cancellation. The controls are easy to feel and get used to. Again, you'll want to use the app for more options related to noise cancellation plus you may want to change other settings, like disabling the wear sensor. Battery Life 30 hours! Pretty excellent. I've been using these for a week and I didn't time my hours but it's been a lot and I'm at 60% battery. I'm not sure what else to say here. I assume if the battery dies you could use it plugged in, just without the noise cancellation, but I'm not sure about that. Noise Cancellation Last but not least...This is my first set of headphones with adaptive and active noise cancellation. I like it! At work it hides the loud fans of computers in the room, at home it can hide music from games the kids are playing. I was surprised at one point because I didn't realize there was music playing and then I took it off and heard the music. There are three modes to the noise cancellation, High, Low, and Auto. They're self explanatory. In my time using them I didn't notice a difference between Low and Auto though I'm sure there is one. I notice a big different between High and Low/Auto. Make sure you install the app to get more granular control over some of those settings. It will let you turn on some ambient sound and adjust how much comes through - very cool idea though I feel like I usually want it on or off and if I was to hear some ambient sound I would just use Low or maybe Auto. If you have never used noise canceling headphones before be aware you will probably feel a "pressure" for lack of a better word when the noise canceling is on, whether using them to listen to anything or not. Some people this bothers more than others. I notice it more sometimes then other times but in general you'll probably notice it when they are on High. Comfort The fit is great! They feel soft as well as solid and secure on your head. Each side slides smoothly and independently of the other. Again, they slide very smoothly! Often headphones have slides that come out more than I want at first and then I put them back a little. With the PX7 you just feel some of the quality here - the sliding is perfectly smooth in both directions. The adjustments allow for a comfortable fit. Bowers & Wilkins did a great job with the PX7! They're definitely on the pricier side of things but I feel like they have a very good feature set and some extras like a great look and a nice hard case thrown in too. One Note! If you're going to use these with Windows 10 first off, they work very well! Do be aware though that you may need to connect them twice! They connect once as a music device and once as a voice device. I tried on two different Windows 10 laptops. On one they connected correctly, as both devices at one time. On the other I thought they connected but the connection kept dropping and basically wouldn't work. I had to connect a second time as the second device. Anyway, once connected they worked great! I also used them with an Android phone (Android 9.0) and an Android TV (Android 8.0) and had no issues with either. On the Android phone it will show the battery life of the headphones.

There are 3 main things ANC headphones must get right in order to be successful, and with the amount of competition in the market currently, they really need to get it right to rise to the top. These headphones should absolutely be on your shortlist if you're in the market for ANC headphones. I have used a bunch of different brands/models of ANC headphones and earbuds so let's see how these compare. Sound- These sound great. They have an amazing sound stage, and good separation between highs, mids, and lows. I normally keep the volume under 50% that seems more than adequate for my 39-year-old ears. I tried these on my iPhone 11, Pixelbook Go, Macbook Air, and AppleTV. The music I tested on this was hip-hop, country, classic rock, jazz, 80-90s pop hits, and there were definitely some things that I could pick up on these when compared to other headphones. It's great discovering new things in your favorite songs that were missed with other headphones. There was also no delay when watching videos/movies on any of the devices mentioned. The long battery life makes it really easy to listen to music or binge-watch your favorite shows/movies. ANC- The Active Noise Cancellation is great on these, comparable to your Bose, Sony, and other high-end headphones in this category. It's great that when you click it on and everything around you falls away and you are just left with your music. I tried these at home, out at a park, and out running errands. Most of the outside noise disappears, and the few things that can't be canceled are dramatically reduced/muffled. Fit- First of all the build quality on these is amazing, you can tell the materials used here are high quality, the frame is strong and durable, and the ear cups are very thick and soft. The overall weight seems light, but a tad heavier than some others I have used. These absolutely feel premium. The mix of fabric covering the outside of the cups and the top of the headband and the carbon fiber mix of the arms is a great blend. The best way I could describe these is that this is what I would imagine a high-end pair of Apple ANC headphones to be built. Using them to binge-watch a few episodes of Watchmen and The Mandalorian on my AppleTV gave no fatigue around my ears or the top of my head, and this is coming from someone with a fairly large head. Bonus- So they obviously checked off the main 3 sections that make these ANC headphones successful, but there are a few things that also set them further apart from the competition. First, the ANC can easily be toggled between, High, Low, Off, and Auto. I have normally just left it on Auto and it has done a great job of blocking out most things but allowing me to hear when one of my sons comes up to me to get my attention. The second is the Ambient Pass-Through that allows some of your outside noise to come through if you need to be aware of what is going around you. This feature works well, but I do not like that the volume of your music seems to be dropped, but I am guessing that is just away to keep you aware of outside noise. Third, you are able to connect 2 devices at once so I can be typing this out on my laptop listening to some music, and if I get a call on my phone I can take the call using these headphones, finish up the call, and return right back to my music. Sound quality on calls is great by the way, clear on my side, and folks that I spoke to said that I sounded clear on their end as well, as if I was talking on my phone. Fourth, is the app that you can use to toggle some of these features. I'm using the app on my iOS devices, but they have one for Android as well. The app works well and allows you to check what devices are connected, and toggle between different ANC levels. The last bonus feature is the auto-pause feature when you lift one of the cups to hear someone. As soon as you lift up one of the cups, works on either side, the music auto pauses so you can hear, then resumes as soon as you put the cup back down. I'm sure you could tell if you made it this far into the review, that I would without hesitation recommend these headphones over the competition. They check off all the boxes to make them great ANC headphones while adding a few bonuses to sweeten the deal.

Review broken down into a few categories to allow for a more informed decision Over-all Presentation: 5/5 The headphones come in a hard fabric case. The fabric adds texture to the case and makes a sleek appearance. The headphones are visually appealing, with a subtle marble finish look to the plastic pieces and clean, sharp looking fabric otherwise. Over-all Ease of Use (Including iPhone Application): 5/5 Pairing is extremely easy. The same button that facilitates power on/off is able to be held to initiate Bluetooth pairing: a smooth process overall. And, one of my favorite features is that the headphones allow for two devices to be paired at once. I always have my phone nearby, so any Bluetooth enabled headphone paired to it automatically connects and having the second device allowance permits connecting to my tablet or another device without having to go through disconnecting my phone (this is honestly one of my favorite features). The application for the phone was simple to install, I did have to search the apple store for it as I was not prompted to install when I connected the headphones. The application itself is simple to use keeping to minimalistic design. The headphones come with a cord to allow for traditional headphone jack use also which is fantastic for non-Bluetooth enabled devices. The headphones also come with a USB connector for charging –my only complaint being as with most devices these days is that it does not come with an AC adapter for the USB charger. Comfort (Over-the-Ear): 3/5 Sadly, I have not been entirely impressed with the comfort of these over-the-ear headphones. I have used over-the-ear noise canceling headphones for the past couple years and something with this pair of headphones just feels a bit off when it comes to comfort. Two perspectives here, my own and from my wife. My wife is a Disney lover, and enjoys wearing ears in the park – however, the ears press just at the right pressure near the temple area to induce a headphone and well, these headphones have the same effect on her. She is not able to comfortably use them. My opinion is as followed. The headphones do not just easily pass onto the skull but rather they rotate into position resulting in a very snug and tight fit. The tightness is both a pro and a con. The con, being well, they press a little too hard at times unless you finagle them into the perfect position. The pro, being, they do not easily slide off and it reduces movement of the headphones while not seated still. I see it as a dual-edged sword. They can be comfortable, and allow for extended periods of wear; however, it does take precision and learning how to angle them just right for one-self. The over-the-head piece is well padded and comfortable feeling against the top of the head and the ear pieces themselves have padded muffs that snuggly hold around the ears. They are able to be adjusted to fit different head size in the proper fashion, but once again, it is hard in my opinion to get them just right. I feel the pressure they exert on the head could be reduced. Wear Sensor: 5/5 These headphones are equipped with a wear sensor. This technology will automatically pause music or a video if it senses that you move the headphone from your ear (even one ear) or completely take them off. The music or video will then resume when you place the headphones back over your ear. I have kept this technology on and I will say that it is quite impressive. This is great if needing to have a quick conversation or just need to take off the headphones for a second, reducing the need to stop whatever is playing. I occasionally enjoy keeping one ear on and one off while in public if I want to hear the world around me and I was able to trick the headphones into believing they were still on. At times, I would forget this feature would exist though and find myself with my device paused. Overall it is nifty. The application also allows for toggling the wear sensor on and off. So if you absolutely hate it, there you go, off. Sound Quality: 5/5 The sound quality of these headphones did not disappoint. I am not an insane audiophile, so others input may be more sound in this section, but for a lay-person when it comes to sound I am pleased. Music and shows come through wonderful providing an immersive experience with clarity in sound. I would say more, but as previously stated, I am not fully equipped to give an extensive overview in sound. It would have been nifty to have any type of equalizer within the application but this is not by any means a deal breaker in my opinion. Noise Canceling: 5/5 I got my first pair of noise canceling headphones a couple months into medical school to study, 3 years ago now, and I have never looked back since. Whenever I use headphones without noise cancelation the sound experience almost feels naked to me. The noise cancelation is as expected for a high end noise-canceling headphone. I always use my wife yelling to our cat as a solid indicator if a pair of headphones is able to cancel noise well, and these are effective at blocking her out overall or at least greatly diminish the screams. They are also quite effective in canceling out environmental noise. Given the tighter fit as mentioned earlier, these allow you to become easily immersed in your audio experience. There are 4 total settings including high, low, auto, and off. The high noise-canceling does not give me as much of a pressure sensation as I have felt with other headphones I have used. The low setting, has never been one of much use for myself but it exists if that is for you. The auto setting seems to work well – I believe it can provide a more dynamic experience – but I personally leave mine on high as that is what I have become most accustomed to. The setting may be changed through either using a button on the headset or through the application. Call Quality: 3/5 I feel that I am never fully impressed with call quality of Bluetooth headsets with calls. The headphones allow one to answer a call with the click of a button, hang up, or even ignore a call. Overall I was able to hear the call clearly with the headphones in place with moments of slight interference. The caller did say that my voice felt slightly diminished in comparison to using the phone normally. Would I use these headphones to take a personal phone call? Yes. Would I use these headphones to take a professional phone call? Probably not. Battery Life: 5/5 The battery life is absolutely fantastic. I have been using these headphones for about a week at this point. I normally listen to music or Netflix for a few hours each night and I have yet to actually charge the headphones. They are still running off of the battery life that they came with. The headphones themselves do not tell you the percent battery left as you power them on (my previous headphones would do that – a feature I have since noticed I took for granted). The only way I have found to check battery level is to use the application which has a battery indicator. I would easily trust these headphones to last through an entire day on one charge. Overall Score: 4/5 I wanted to be able to justify a 5-star rating for these headphones as most categories I considered are definitely a 5/5; however, overall comfort played the largest factor holding me back. These are a fantastic pair of over-the-ear noise canceling headphones and I am pleased with them, but they may require a trial period to find out if the comfort is right for you. I would reasonably believe these to be a 5-star option for the right person.

PROS -Modern design -Great audio quality and noise cancelation -App is easy to use -Great battery life CONS -Call quality is poor -Headphones don’t fold to save space -No equalizer in app SUMMARY: If you love the design, but don’t plan on making phone calls and have the bag space to spare, these headphones will impress with their balanced and complete sound as well as their noise canceling capability. The PX7s are Bowers and Wilkins’ latest active noise cancelation offering – an upgrade from their older PX. The design is familiar, but a welcomed refinement showcasing beautiful adjustable carbon composite arms extruding from the headband (see picture attached to this review). There is a solid color cloth wrapping around the headband and cup. The headband and earcup cushion are comfortable to wear for extended periods of time. The ear cups are synthetic, but overall feel durable and nice to the touch. If you have a larger head like me, these headphones will work well as the headband has a good amount of squeeze force between the ear cups that isn’t too tight and enough to keep the headphones snuggly on one’s head. This design does come with a drawback – these headphones don’t fold at all so they will take up a bit of space in one’s carry-on bag. The heather grey hard-shell case feels very strong and is sure keep the headphones safe, even in a crowded bag. Overall audio quality is well balanced similar to offerings from Bose – the bass is not too punchy and the mids/highs are balanced. The active noise cancelation is terrific when background noise is constant, Using the headphones on a recent flight was a great experience with the headphones blocking out most of the air noise. City background noise sneaked through as expected, but overall I was very impressed with their performance. Battery life was solid – I easily went a week in between charges using for several hours a day at work. Though audio quality and noise cancelation is great, the microphones for phone calls left a lot to be desired. The microphone picked up on background sound which made phone calls and navigating voice menus frustrating. The app doesn’t require an email login which is nice for privacy minded individuals. The app gives the ability to set the intensity of the noise cancelation as well as enable audio passthrough for hearing your surrounding environment. It also allows the ability to pair a second device and update the headphones. Though the headphones are very balanced by themselves power users will miss an equalizer in the app.

-- Build Quality -- This is simply superb, as you would expect for something in this price range. The unit is nicely built, and comes with a nice case, a USB-C charging cord, and a 3.5mm analog cable: everything you could need. The only real issue is that the ear cups and top of the head band are covered in some type of fabric. While this gives it a nice feel, it seem that this would be hard to clean if/when you get dirt on them. --- Sound Quality --- This is where this unit really shines. The sound quality is simply excellent. The bass was present without being overpowering. The best way to describe the sound is "balanced." These headphones just present the music and get out of your way, without coloring it in any way. -- Noise Cancelling -- While I did not have a chance to try this on an aircraft, I took it to an office environment with a rather noisy office environment with a loud force-air heating system. The noise cancelling even managed to do an effective job of reducing the white noise of the heater. Impressive. You can control the settings through the app, or a dedicated button on the side. These also feature an "ambient pass-through" that will allow you to hear what is going on in the "real world." However, when this mode is engaged, it practically mutes all audio. It would be nice to have an option to be able to listed to your music/movie while still being able to hear a little of what is going on outside. Since the "ambient pass-through" does mute the audio, you might as well just take the headphones off rather than bother with this feature. Maybe a future firmware upgrade will fix this. -- Comfort -- I would describe the comfort as "above average," but not excellent. I have a larger head, with larger ears, and I wear eyeglasses. It is comfortable for about an hour or so before it starts to get annoying. However, the hinges on the ear cups are stiff enough where you can tilt them to get the pressure more on the front of your ears and lift them off of the rear. This allows you to relieve some of the pressure for extended wearing, but at the cost of a little noise isolation. -- User Interface -- One primary way to control this is with the app (which I only tested on Android devices). It seemed to work well on a modern Moto X4 (using Android 9). However, when paired with an older tablet using Android 7, the app had difficulty connecting to the headphones unless audio was actively playing. This is fine when you are listening to music, but while watching movies, the movie will pause (and mute) when it is set aside to start the headphone app. Still, you will likely only use the app occasionally to get it set up at first. The headphones can also sense when you remove them from your head, and is supposed to pause the audio source when this happens. This feature can only be turned on or off from the app. It mostly worked OK, but I noticed that when watching movies through Amazon Prime, lifting the headphones would not pause the movie, although it worked great for music. Finally the use a recorded voice to announce the setting (such as adjusting the noise cancelling). These announcements appear to be English only, and I could not find an option to change to another language. This is not a negative for me, but it might be for some people. -- Summary -- Overall, these are great headphones, with only a couple of minor warts.

The Bowers & Wilkins - PX7 Wireless Noise Canceling headphones are mixed bag and come down to personal preference. BT Connectivity was a snap straight away without the dedicated mobile app but registering the headphones with the app was clunky. The momentary power switch setup step was, in my experience, hit or miss. It's great to see the USB-C connector which offers the latest and broadest compatibility with the more common charging adapters. Topping off the charge is quick when you're on the go and battery life is on-par with the specified 30 or so hours of operation. Comfort is a widely subjective area because of the variations of head geometries and I personally found the PX7's to be a little tight fitting out-of-the-box. Perhaps these will break in and conform better with time, but for over-the-ear headphones, they feel a tad bit cramped. The 'lift to pause', on-off function is cool but it is delayed and does not immediately respond to positioning. Maybe a firmware update can improve upon that. Noise cancelling functionality is right up there with the best of them and performs well in either the fixed or adaptive modes. Even in the Ambient Pass-through mode, these cans provide a decent amount of subtle noise cancellation. Thumbs up! Flat EQ settings do reveal an overly bright sound presentation (to my ears). The PX7's may settle down in due time but it's hard to tell how long that might take. With the right EQ balancing from your device, these headphones can shine and offer a balanced & full sound stage without needing to be driven to max volume levels. The higher the quality of the source material, the better these sound - with little to no coloration. All-in-all these are a good sounding & capable set of headphones with a lot of personal variables that can come into play. Build quality & materials are top notch, as most would expect from B&W. I recommend that folks give them a try and see for yourself. Personally I find the fit less than optimal, the 'system' needing a few small tweaks and a substantial break-in period to be at their best.

The PX7 headphones excel in their visual appearance, wear comfort and audio reproduction. I was truly amazed at the depth of the bass and the clarity and richness of the sound stage. The overall sound quality throughout the volume range stayed true, no audio loss or muffle or distortion at either end of the sound spectrum. I have always found that headphones lose audio quality as the volume is below or above the normal listening level but this was not the case with the PX7s. I spent the first day of owning these headphones just playing various songs from my playlist and enjoying them on a whole new level. The headphones themselves sit fully over the ear and are comfortable to wear. The ear cuffs are soft and pliable so they aren’t noticeable. Even with glasses on these headphones seemed to disappear with time. The main function buttons (on/off, Bluetooth pairing, play control, phone call control and volume) are on the right ear piece and are easy to distinguish by touch. The noise cancelling button is on the left ear piece. There is a led on the right ear to help indicate the status of the PX-7. All functions are intuitive and are quickly learned. The PX7 have wear sensors which are quite useful. As soon as you remove the headphones the music is paused until you put them back on so you never miss a beat. To answer a call while using the headphones is accomplished by pressing the multi-function which is easy to locate on the right ear piece. Phone conversations were clear and most people had no idea I was using a headset until I told them. Connecting with Bluetooth is straight forward and you can connect two devices at once however only one a can be playing at a time. This can be a major plus if you are using multiple devices in the day. The headphones do include a 3.5mm audio cable and a usb cable if you would rather hard wire the headphones vs use Bluetooth. The headphones are charged using the included usb cord. The battery life is listed as 30 hours and you can get 5 hours out of a 15 minute quick charge. The noise cancellation has three settings Low, High and Auto as well as a separate setting for the Ambient Pass Through. I felt the PX-7s were good at cancelling out noise but I struggled a little more with Ambient Pass Through. What I found worked best for me was to pause any playback and then adjust the Ambient Pass Through volume on the phone app until the low level hiss from the external microphones disappear totally or reached a low tolerable level. The PX7 app which you download to your phone was helpful but still lacks some basic tools. In the Noise Cancel page you can control the noise cancellation and Ambient Pass Through which I found I used the most. In the Connection page you can see and control which devices are Bluetooth connected and this can be handy when switching between devices. In the Settings page you can control the Wear Sensor, Voice prompts and Standby timer which are set once and generally forgotten. What is missing is the lack of media or audio control from the app. I would like to be able to open the app when setting the noise cancelling functions and be able to tune the audio to match the settings. Also it would be really nice if they included a battery level indicator in the app. All considering, I am very happy with these headphones and would highly recommend them to anyone who wants a headphone that can do it all in any environment.
