Best toaster oven ever
||Posted .Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.Pros: awesome. Heats quick, works quick. Cooks things perfectly, nice crisp on the outside but soft on the inside-it’s insane. It also looks aesthetic and is the perfect size! It toasts bread and other things exceptionally as well. I can put a small Pyrex baking dish in it too and it bakes just as good as an oven! Cons: you have to flip the bread in order for it to toast perfectly. The trays are heavy. Doesn’t come with a pizza stone. Overall, great toaster oven. Better than the one we had before but we have only had it for a month or so.

The Breville is even better than the reviews.
||Posted .When I needed a new toaster oven, I did a lot of research online. I also read a number of reviews. While my initial intention was to buy a unit under $50, I quickly realized that if I wanted a quality product with a good deal more capability than I had in the past, the Breville unit (although much more expensive) would be my choice. Since I have been using it, I have not be disappointed in any way. The reviews are accurate in their description.

great oven for beginner or expert.
||Posted .This oven was purchased as a gift for a 90+ year old. Just learning to prepare his own meals after losing his wife, he was nervous about using it. He now cooks full meals using all the controls and options. The internet is his recipe book . Breville oven lets him toast, broil and bake. So proud pf my dad. Maintaining his independence. Thank you Best Buy.

Great toaster oven
||Posted .Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.I just bought this toaster oven so can not speak to durability. However this is very easy to operate and clean with built in crumb tray. It looks great and is not large (perfect for small to medium kitchens). The toast function works great with toast, bagels, waffles, muffins, and even reheating pizza quickly. And unlike my ovens, this unit does not increase the room temperature. Like other high wattage toaster ovens, the exterior including the door (not handle) gets very hot. Also note, you need to use potholders to pull out the rack. Overall Its a great little oven.

Quick, efficient: Loving this Smart Oven
||Posted .Owned for 1 month when reviewed.I decided to upgrade from the old school, standard toaster oven to this one and we haven't looked back. The toast feature of number of slices x darkness toasts your bread perfectly every time without having to constantly crank the timer to add more time. The bake feature warms up leftovers quickly and evenly. We were concerned about the size, as our kitchen is not very big, but the features outweigh the larger size. The lone (sort of) drawback, the protective prongs extend quite far off the back of the oven, taking up more space (though it is for safety purposes).

Best Toaster Oven Ever Owned
||Posted .Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This is the best toaster oven I have ever owned. Everything comes out perfect and I prefer it over the regular oven! I use for ziti, muffins, pizza and just about anything else. I needed a few pans and ceramic casserole dishes to fit but it was well worth it. Also, easy to clean with pullout drip and crumb pan.

Well worth the money!
||Posted .We bought this item based on the high ratings and have not been disappointed. We have a juicer from Breville, so we knew it was a good brand. The adage of “you get what you pay for” certainly applies here. The extra cost is far out done by its quality. You won’t be disappointed.

Breville BOV650XL Compact Smart OvenBest toaster oven
Full Review
Q: Question1The size for this oven is it the inside measurement or out side
Asked by Sparky.
- A:Answer I own a BOV650XL oven. Here is what I measured: Outside is 16.5" wide, 13.5" deep, 9.5" high. Inside is 12" wide, 12" deep, 6.5" high. The outside depth includes the handle that sticks out about an inch. I hope this answers your question.

Q: QuestionWhich Breville model is a better choice?I checked bestreviews.com and they named the Breville BOV800XL Smart oven 1800 Watt Convection Oven as their top choice. I am wondering if the Breville Compact Smart Oven will be enough to suit our needs. Typically, we use our Black & Decker toaster oven for toast and some warming. My husband seems to think that we may use a toaster oven more often if it had more options available. Would you recommend the Breville Compact Smart Oven or the larger one? There are only two of us in our household.
Asked by Happy Retiree.
- A:Answer I got the larger one and am so glad I did. It was on sale at the time. I use it for baking (banana nut bread), reheating, and for cooking small frozen pizzas and other frozen foods. I also use it for toast and for keeping food warm, e.g., pancakes. It takes a lot less time to preheat and the heat serves as a convection oven because of the close proximity of the food to the heat source. I live by myself although I often have my grandkids and other relatives/visitors over quite often. This really comes in handy when you want to prepare something quick for them and you don't want to or can't use the microwave.

Q: QuestionProduct info says, " . . . . . even cook a 12" pizza." But pan is only 10 x 10 (same as in Breville Mini 450). Can someone describe pizza baking size/experience more for Breville 650, please.
Asked by NoCook.
- A:Answer I just bought one and it's great. I can fit a whole refrigerated pizza like from the grocery store and it fits perfect with no need to bend the pizza. Perhaps a larger than standard store bought frozen pizza might not work but all the standard sizes will. Ther insertable pan is only 10" square but you dont use a pan with pizzas, you put them directly on the 12" X 12" grill... perfect fit. Nice, even heating.

Q: QuestionWhat is the difference between the BOV 450XL and the BOV 650XL?
Asked by Ellie.
- A:Answer The BOV450XL Mini Smart Oven and BOV650XL Compact Smart Oven share the same features and power; however, the BOV650XL also includes a broil pan (available separately for the BOV450XL) and is larger by about 1 inch on all sides.

Q: QuestionDoes it come with any other accessories?I saw this Breville Compact oven for the same price in other stores and some will include a 10"x10" baking pan and/or pizza pan and/or bamboo cutting board on top. Does this one from BB come with any of those accessories?
Asked by Chris.
- A:Answer It came with a baking pan with broiling pan insert. No pizza pan or bamboo cutting board.

Q: QuestionThe back of the oven gets hot too. Do i need to protect the power cord?
Asked by Css8454.
- A:Answer The majority of the venting on the Breville® BOV650 Smart Oven® Compact is on the sides so while the back does get warm, so long as the cord is not being pressed against the back of the oven, it will not require extra protection.

Q: QuestionCan I bake a 12 inch pizza in this oven?
Asked by toots.
- A:Answer OK. I purchased this oven and it fits a 12 inch pizza and Breville 12 inch pizza pan perfect. There is a curved indentation in the back of the oven that makes this possible. I love it.

Q: QuestionCan I bake fish sticks and chicken nuggets in this oven? My normal oven lost function and I do not want to purchase another full-size oven right now?
Asked by scorpion.
- A:Answer Yes, it works perfectly with the bake tray included with the oven, I have cooked both nuggets and fish sticks, just follow the instructions of the respective food package (temperature & bake time) and your food would be good and ready to eat.
