Breville - the Mini Smart Oven - Stainless Steel

I have very little counter space, so i needed a very little toaster oven, I had my eye on this Breville for months. I hesitated because there were soo many competing t/o's available, many at a much lower price. I kept coming back because of the size and Consumer Reports excellent rating for performance and reliability. What really kept me away was the Very High Price. I even went so far as to completely give up on the idea(besides-I would only be cooking items that would be "bad" EG: pizza and chicken wings!) BUT...they finally put it on sale for Black Friday Month and all my resistance faded away; and I had a $10 BB coupon to sweeten the deal. So enough about me...the T/O is great! It has cooked a 11" gluten free pizza to PERFECTION-no exaggeration. GF crusts are very tricky, and this little gem came through with flying colors! I still have not found a convenient way to cook chicken wings-I worry, since they stick to the baking pan, and I don't want to scratch it. I could have deducted a star for that, but it is much better than "Good" at 4 stars. Toast comes out great, and that is the extent of my menu, so far. It has a bumper at the back, that allows for ventilation so the power cord does not heat up. The rest of the t/o does get hot-get over it. Thought about getting the Very Hard To Find pizza stone, but why mess with success. I recommend this little gem, glad I got it.

Really Enjoy this toaster oven. Toasts well. Nice looking. Love that it is small and compact and stylish and fits under my countertop. Cons of this oven- The rack is normally placed in the middle for toast which seems odd (as shown in photo) and the rack does not come out when you open the door (a nice feature that this toaster does NOT have). Also oven knob in the manual says to turn counterclockwise when dialing not clockwise.

Perfect size for the counter has a lot of features works great when you’re just heating up something that she don’t wanna microwave and not to heat up the whole kitchen with the big oven

We’ve only had the unit for a month but here are some thoughts so far: - footprint of the unit is smaller than noted. If you’re facing the toaster, it’s 16” wide and 11” deep. We like the smaller footprint! - toaster is “smart” cooking to various darkness and number of slices. Pretty accurate so far and it has a “frozen” option which adjusts if your bread is from the freezer. Personally, I still like to defrost in microwave first. - looks clean, nice and modern. - door doesn’t close slowly. At this price, it shouldn’t slam shut. Not terrible, just annoying. - we mainly toast/reheat so can’t comment on baking/broiling/roasting but functions exist. Cooking pan provided is of heavy gauge and deep though. - Overall, we’re very happy and would buy it again. :)

So far so good I have been using this quite often and must say it’s one of my best purchase. Small yet very efficient with the work. Highly recommend this product. It fits really well in my tiny NYC apartment.

So we’ve had this for a few weeks now and absolutely love it. The brand we had previously worked but every knob or dial made a beep with every turn. It was unnecessary and annoying. You couldn’t use it when others were sleeping because it made so much noise. This one looks great on the counter. The glass front makes it easy to see what’s going on with your food while it’s cooking so nothing gets overdone. The oven is easy to operate, heats quickly and is the perfect size for our needs. We use it for cooking small items like quiche or pizza, for warming up left overs and toasting things. Would recommend this for anyone looking for a well made product.

We had a Black and Decker toaster oven for 15 years that had a toast button. After burning more items than I care to admit with its replacement we found this Breville gem. Not only does it have a toast button instead of a dial but it has multiple settings and options that make cooking so much easier. I have even begun using it for baking simple things like croissants. Love it!

We bought this oven based on its top ranking by a cooking show's website, and because it's smaller than the old oven we replaced. The Breville works much better and the controls are more logical. The price may be a little higher than some of the competition, but this is the second Breville product we've bought this year and we've been completely satisfied with both.
