As the leader and principle songwriter of The Beach Boys, Brian Wilson was responsible for some of the most memorable pop music of the 1960's, and this concert video, shot during Wilson's debut solo tour in 1999, finds him performing highlights from his impressive back catalog and greeting friends and admirers such as Paul McCartney, Neil Young, Pete Townshend, and Sheryl Crow. Selections include "Good Vibrations", "God Only Knows", "California Girls", "Don't Worry Baby", "Lay Down Burden", "Do It Again", and many more. Additional interview segments contain shots of Wilson talking about the Beatles' music and a video postcard with backstage scenes from throughout the tour, as well as a chance to "Meet the Band." The latter featurette focuses on the note-perfect pop orchestration of the Wondermints, who continually surprise Wilson with their attention to nuance and the most subtle of musical timbres.
