Ang Lee's adaptation of E. Annie Proulx's story Brokeback Mountain stars Jake Gyllenhaal and Heath Ledger as young cowboys named Jack Twist and Ennis Del Mar. Each of them is hired to corral sheep on the title location and they soon bond very closely. Their platonic relationship explodes into a physical one, but eventually the two are separated when their job comes to an end. Although the two follow different life paths -- one becoming a father of two and the other marrying into a successful business -- they have a reunion years later. Each is affected profoundly by the rekindling of their old feelings for each other. Those feelings lead each to consider what continuing their hidden relationship would cost them. The screenplay was written by Pulitzer Prize-winning author Larry McMurtry and Diana Ossana.~Perry Seibert

This movie is really good. Not even half as bad as I thought it would be. These men and women ( yes, there are women in this film!) who acted in this film are all likable, or at least relatable. The 3 Oscars that this movie received were best director, best original score, and best adapted screenplay. I have watched this movie again and again, and sometimes just certain scenes for the words or the music. Why only 4 stars? I hoped that this DVD would have the nice silver border to it as shown in this online advertising of the dvd package. Oh well.
If you are looking for a different type of film that will give you the ultimate feels, this is it! For it’s time, this movie was perfect and had an amazing storyline going for it. Christians, Straight, Gay, and Bisexual people should check this film out; no matter who you are!

Depressing Love Story
It's a tragic love story on what it was like to be gay and in love in the early 60s to the 80s on the American Midwest... It makes you think what Society was like back then as it is compared to now...
I purchased this film online with in store pick up. The process was fast and reliable. A relative had been wanting to watch this film for some time and was happy to receive it as a birthday gift! They were not disappointed.
