Great Multi-Functional Printer for the Price
||Posted .I recently purchased a new computer & needed a printer that was compatible with Windows 8.1. After researching printers & finding out that ink is one of the most expensive liquids that you can buy, costing anywhere from $10 to $70+ an ounce, I decided it was time to buy a monochrome Laser printer. I rarely print in color & it’s cheaper to get photo prints done at the local discount or drug store. After extensive research & comparing price, features, performance & operating costs, I narrowed my choice down to the MFC-7360N. It’s a great multi-functional printer for the price, especially since I got it on sale for less than $150. The printer has good text quality & also does a good job at copying & scanning, as well as having fax capabilities. It prints 14.3 pages per minute with excellent quality at a cost of only 1.9 cents per page. Setup of the printer was easy but one drawback is the very small, non-illuminated LCD screen. You have to literally stand up and use a flashlight to read the display. The Menu adjustment to make the text darker in the display didn’t help much. Once the printer is setup you can use ‘Control Center 4’ to control the printer functions from the computer. Text quality is definitely better than ink jet printers. The scanner works good for black and white, grayscale or color documents but is subpar for color photographs. My 8 year old Dell Photo 944 all-in-one printer does a much better at scanning photographs. Overall this is a good multi-functional printer. It offers good print quality, low operating cost per page, it’s fast & relatively compact in size for the features it offers. I also like the fact that it has a ‘Deep Sleep’ mode to help conserve energy. Not including a lighted display was a major oversight by Brother. If you don’t print in color, don’t like replacing expensive inkjet cartridges or periodically cleaning print heads, then the MFC-7360N is the way to go. I would recommend this printer for home use or a small business.

Great unit. I do not fax with it though.
||Posted .I wanted a laser unit that would print, copy and scan. This unit adds fax, but I do not use that capability. Also, I do not need to print in color, so I did not want to buy a ink jet model. Print clarity is good, it is simple to use and it is affordable. Compared to some of the other multifunction units out there, it had all of the features I needed at a more affordable cost. I have other Brother laser printers and have been happy with the performance of all of them. I will consider Brother if I need to buy another printer / multifunction unit.

So far this printer has been perfect for my needs!
||Posted .I bought this printer to replace my ink jet printer. I wanted to upgrade to a laser printer but was afraid it would be too expensive. I found this printer on sale for less than $150 and is comes with a starter cartridge that I may never even have to replace based on the amount of pages it states I should be able to print. For the price and capabilities it has, I think this is a very good option!

Excellent multifunction machine.
||Posted .Purchased to replace old laser printer by other manufacturer. Best value I found for the price. Free shipping to my home was a plus. Document scanning with ADF, faxing and print quality are easy with excellent results. Only disappointment so far is that it must be connected to router for wireless operation.

Better Than HP
Posted .I had an HP 1000 laser printer for years but recently got a new computer with Windows 7 and that printer was not compatible. Bought this one based on reviews. Great print speed. Excellent scanning speed. Holds plenty of paper. Toner cartridges for it are relatively inexpensive compared to ink cartridges. Can use wireless also which is a big plus. I absolutely am 100% pleased with this printer and would highly recommend it.

Good quality, low price, network set up was easy
Posted .This printer hooked up easily to my network, although the Brother "control center" stuff was kind of cumbersome because you have to do it on every computer that is going to use all the features on the printer (scanning, fax, copying, printing). That said, the installs went easily after an update from Brother's site and I have 4 Macs, one PC, and a couple laptops all using various features of the printer on the network with no drama. The scanning function works very well, the print quality is good (and pretty quick!)

great fax and copier all in one.
||Posted .Nice that this is laser toner machine so the ink won't dry up when it is not used very often. Easy to set up. Nice that it has a scanner bed to make copies as well.

Very Nice
Posted .This is my second Brother printer, and my first all-in-one. I had high hopes based on my HL-2040, and this MFC-7030 has not let me down. It's very fast, and really does everything I could possibly need in a printer. Printing envelopes is a little cumbersome, however. I have to reach to the back, flip down an access panel, then flip down two green levers to be able to use the pass-through. Inconvenient. It also makes an odd, gravelly, whiny sound when running. Deep sleep mode is pretty neat though. I leave the thing on all the time now. Otherwise, very nice.

Q: QuestionMust I hook up fax feature? Will machine work w/o enabling it?I received MFC-7360N as gift. I have no need for fax feature. Will my machine print/copy/scan without setting up the fax feature? What steps would I skip in set up guide?
