Innovative, idiosyncratic, and always entertaining, Vincent Gallo's Buffalo '66 is an indie masterpiece. The presentation on this DVD -- a 1.85:1 widescreen, Dolby Digital 5.1 transfer -- is excellent. The muted colors of Gallo's vision are striking here, and the audio is superb. Gallo's cool, minimalist score -- so effective in setting the tone of the movie -- sounds great. It's a quality production all around, though the supplemental material is a bit lacking. Production notes present informative, but limited background on the movie and Gallo. The "Cast and Filmmakers" area, featuring the usual biographical filmographies, is respectable; the presentation is attractive, and the quantity of information is just right. The theatrical trailer is something that shouldn't be missed; it's a throwback to a different era, when artsy editing and progressive music meant something. The trailer is almost worth the price of admission on its own. It's refreshing when small films like Buffalo '66 appear in such fine DVD editions.

My favorite movie
This has been my favorite movie of all time since I first watched it at 18-years-old, and because I resist being brought into new technology without a huge reason, this is the first blu-ray I have owned.
It looks fantastic. Blu-ray does a movie like this justice, but unfortunately it doesn't come along with any extras like the infamous director's commentary that was too controversial to be put on the dvd release.
A great addition (or start) to a blu-ray library, but without anything more to discover.
This is a great film that is long overdue for a US blu-ray release. I am so glad to finally have this in my collection.
The only bummer, and it's a big one, is that there are no extras other than the theatrical trailer. I would love to have some features on the production of the film or a commentary by Vincent Gallo, an interesting fellow to say the least.
Nonetheless, I still highly recommend this to folks that enjoy intimate films with interesting and memorable characters. Great performances by Vincent Gallo and Christina Ricci.
'Span time' with Buffalo '66. You won't be disappointed.
I think that "Buffalo '66" is an excellent independent film that features superb performances. The "15th Anniversary Edition" Blu-ray needed some new special features added, all that's included is a trailer for the film. The video/audio presentation is good for the most part, there are some scenes that obviously could have used a more detailed restoration; but it's decent overall.
