As a creation of Gene Autry's Flying A Productions, produced under the aegis of Louis Gray, the adventure series Buffalo Bill, Jr. originally aired on NBC from 1955 through 1956. Set in the town of Wileyville, Texas during the 1880s, it starred Dick Jones as the title character, a young western hero and the son of a judge, Fair 'N' Square Wiley (Harry Cheshire). Also on hand was Bill's sister, Calamity (Nancy Gilbert), with whom he shared various adventures. This box set contains four of the programs as they were originally broadcast. Kansas City Lady finds an unhappy boy perjuring himself in an effort to send his stepmother to prison; The Jayhawker concerns a father who grows upset when his son begins to idolize an outlaw; Kid Curry - Killer concerns a maniac who blows up a train just outside of Wileyville and injures countless civilians; and Silver Mine Mystery tells the story of an unsavory mine manager who tries to cover up his embezzlement by murdering an employee.
