Fascinating behind the scenes look at the show. 5 stars
Your average DVD watcher might not find this particularly interesting but from a fan's stand point this was a great documentary. It was just long enough without being too long and full of facts and trivia that you wouldn't pick up just from watching the series.
It is an interesting video that covers finding, preserving and displaying Star Trek items. It also shows how scientists are using the ideas from the show to explore how things like cloaking devices and tractor beams can be made to work. It was really fun.
Haven't had time to watch most of it yet but bought it because it was to be mostly the original cast and real life concepts in our space program. Rodenberry was ahead of his time just like Chester Gould (Dick Tracy). I'm sure when I have time to finish it, it will be a worthwhile adventure.
