Synopsis

Bullet to the Head
A cop and a killer forge a shaky partnership to find out who killed their partners in this throwback buddy action flick starring Sylvester Stallone, and directed by vet Walter Hill. Battle-scarred New Orleans hitman James Bonomo (Stallone) and his longtime partner Louis (Jon Seda) have just executed their latest hit, a cop named Hank Greely (Holt McCallany) when Louis is killed by hulking enforcer Keegan (Jason Momoa) before they can get paid. In the wake of a failed attempt on Bonomo's life as well, Keegan flees the scene, but not before his intended target gets a good look at his face. Meanwhile, Korean NYPD cop Taylor Kwon (Sung Kang) shows up in town determined to find out who killed Greely, his former partner. When Kwon tracks Bonomo down to find out who hired him, both realize that their best hope for catching their respective partners' killers is to team up. Before long, their trail of clues has led them to sleazy lawyer Marcus Baptiste (Christian Slater), who is currently caught up in some shady business dealings with the mysterious and powerful Robert Nkomo Morel (Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje) that could implicate some serious power players in Washington, D.C. Now each new move that Bonomo and Kwon make could be their last, and as the cop does his best to stay on the right side of the law, the killer uses the only tactics he knows to get results. But even if they manage to get their man, that doesn't change the fact that they'll have to deal with one another once they've taken down their target., Rovi

This is a movie people either loved it or hated it. I personally loved it! But I also went into it knowing what it was. Its a movie you pop some popcorn, kick back and enjoy the ride. It's not a movie that is going to win any awards by any stretch of the imagination (Well unless Sly gets nominated for another razzee award) But other then that no chance! But it wasn't meant to make people think. I was made for one purpose and that purpose is entertainment! So if your wanting depth, amazing story telling and a movie that will inspire or touch you this isn't the one for you. But if your in the mood for explosions, gun fights, some vulgar language, some half naked hot women and lets not forget old school Sly Stallone then I defiantly recommend this movie.

I had been wanting to pick this movie up for a while but never got around to it until I was rooting around in the $7.99 blu-ray bin at my local Best Buy and there it was. So I picked it up and it was in excellent condition considering how people tend to just throw those movies around. In my pinion this movie is a bit underrated. If you like Sly in a no-nonsense character role then you will like this movie.

Time has made Sly realize he makes a certain type of film for a specific demographic and he embraces that with this movie. It is nothing special or spectacular, just a solid shoot 'em up, buddy cop esque, action movie that doesn't get hung up on a detailed plot, they just keep the fighting and action coming for 90 minutes. If you like the action, fighting, shooting, explosions, etc, this movie is for you.

By now, people associate Sly Stallone with an action film. This is one of those films. I bought it because I've heard about it, and because it was at a great price. It has plenty of action, good storyline, Stallone, Jason Momoa--like an "homage" to the 80's action films. So, if you're a fan of Stallone and like action films, this film's a bargain...literally.

I like Stallone. But he should stick to making action movies, other than have a action movie have him doing any talking. He doesn't make his character believeable in this movie.Which makes you want to take a nap half way through it.I enjoyed some of the action seems.Other than that just get this movie when Best Buy has it in the Clearance bin.

A friend of mine suggested I watch this, and I do not regret it. It's a good action movie if you're not looking for anything that takes it self too seriously. It will keep you entertained between the action scenes and occasional witty humor. This film reminds you of action flicks from the 80's. Who doesn't love an ax fight?

While I was a little disappointed to recently have learned of his stance on guns and gun control I have been a Stallone fan since a kid and seeing the Rambo and Rocky movies growing up as a kid. Not as over the top as the Expendable series but still a fairly decent movie. I'd watch it again.

This movie is exactly what Stallone does best. Its more like the Expendables and his movies of the late 80's early 90's. Lots of one liners and kicking butt. The acting was fine as well as the plot as I already knew what I was getting. Worth watching but nothing special.
