Excellent show and excellent season!
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendHank Moody is the king of melancholy sarcasm! This is a show that may not be for everyone, but it is quite enjoyable. This season set is what has come to be expected from Showtime DVDs. The episodes are all packaged in a nice set, but there is a clear lack of extra features beyond promotion for their other shows. It would be nice to see more cast interviews, behind the scenes, etc. I am sure that they are saving this for the complete series collection which will make anyone regret buying all single seasons.

Season Six makes it 6-for-6
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendHey, if you're considering the purchase of Season Six, I am sure (at least I hope) you have seen the first five seasons, and you liked the first five seasons. I got hooked early on when Showtime had a free preview. I didn't get a Showtime subscription but I did purchase Season One. Well, this is Season Six. That should pretty much explain it all. I would not suggest getting Season Six as a standalone purchase. You could watch it but I think this is a case where watching the series in order helps--kind of like The X-Files in that way, but this ain't no X-Files. The series is an acquired taste. I love it. My wife: meh, not so much. Our taste in music differs, too, so c'est la vie. I like Warren Zevon.

raunchy hilarity at its best
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendThis season opens with Hank in a depressed and drunken stupor after squandering yet another chance with Karen but of course with good reason. He inadvertently almost killed someone with his playboy ways. That changes with a funeral of a music legend and the meeting of his muse. She, of course, finds Hank charming and latches on as does a washed up '80s rocker who wants Hank to pen an adaptation of God Hates Us All for a Broadway musical. Raunchy yet well written hilarity ensues. I love Californication and so should you.

love the writing, very witty
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendeach season gets better and better,it makes you wish you were there. It also gives one the insite into the world of hollywood, writers, and agents. It also delves into families, addiction, and problems, that come along in that business. But it handles the situtions in a very funny, and sometimes in an uncomfortable way.

Captive Show
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendOverall its been a good captivating show..the main character goes through a lot of ups and downs throughout his life just like a real person..he really screws up his life and tries to make up for it only to make it worse at times. Its sad to see Californication coming to an end but I guess its time

Great Show
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendLove the show, started watching first season a few years ago and immediately went out and bought the other seasons. A bit crude but thats what Hank Moody is all about. You either love the show or you hate it. Either way David Duchovny is amazing in this.

Still a great show!
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendHank Moody is still up to no good, and it is still fun to watch. I have been watching this show since the beginning, and it still carries that same flare and standout performances as the 1st season. Personal opinion: I like Moody more than Moulder.
