The CAN Go smart cane is a superior product that is sleek, sturdy, and fun to use. It's like having a wellness companion and an emergency pendant in one. Here are more details behind my purchase. First, clearly this product is in a league of its own. Just like the iPhone, the CAN Go looks like a super stylish product but it's also packed with all the safety features technology can afford us today, from emergency calling, GPS, fall detection and a web portal that helps promote an active lifestyle while keeping the family informed. I love the wall-mount charger too, it's a docking station for the CAN Go that you can install in the living room or the bedroom and it's automatically included (see pic of the charger installed). It also has a second travel charger, too. The packaging is also a testament to the quality of this product, with a beautiful box that matches the cane's golden hue, as if Apple made it. In fact, it would fit in an Apple Store perfectly. But what really makes this product its own category is the advanced technology. With an intuitive dashboard that allows you to track your activity and progress, this cane is perfect for those who want to stay on top of their fitness goals while also caring about safety. And the best part is, you don't even need to log in to a website to get the reports - they're sent straight to your phone via text message. The emergency calling button that can be programmed to call your loved ones or a call center in case of an accident or fall. I love the two-way calling feature. My Mom can call me from the cane when she feels unwell. And I can call my Mom on the CAN Go, too. And when I call her I know she does not have to juggle her purse and the phone while walking with the cane. Another safety feature, it has a strong light she uses when she walks around the backyard checking on her flowers. The CAN Go is definitely a fashion statement and that's something my Mom cares a lot about. We don't even call it a cane, we call it the "Cango." It simply does not look like a traditional cane at all. We are true proud owners and Mom feels great about herself using it. She gets a lot of compliments and questions about where she bought it. What I love about the product the most: 1. The overall design and the the docking station, a super cute home for the even a cuter CAN Go 2. Activity goals - I love the reporting feature. I live far away and I get to see my parents once or twice a year. It's just gives me comfort to see my Mom is active and follows the walking regiment she was given to prep for her surgery 3. Peace of mind - both my Mom and I love the emergency calling button on the cane. You have to press it and hold it for a short while to make sure it's not an accidental call. Now I have another way to reach Mom and, yes, the cane has its own phone number. I have entered it into my contact address book as Mom's cane :) I love the idea of the CAN Go smart cane community that my mom is now part of. I am not sure if there is a Facebook group yet but there needs to be one. In summary, I am glad I have discovered this product and got it for my Mom. I know I got her the best product on the market. She deserves nothing less.
