nothing special about this really, but does provide the required current to make the device work flawlessly. Some of the other power supplies fall short on this, and then the device freezes up, leading one to think it is the device, and not to think of the power supply.

Raspberry Pi computers are really picky when it comes to power. Spend a little more money on this and save a ton of headaches. I used off-brand supplies and could not get rid of the low voltage warning. This took care of it right away!
