This kit is the best way to go if you're starting out and future proof it a bit by getting the 8Gb version. There is also a new 64 Gb version of Pi OS to address that amount of RAM (https://www.tomshardware.com/news/raspberry-pi-os-bullseye-released) It's one of the easiest hobby computers to work on, by far the best value, and a great way to get kids into building a phone instead of staring into one.

This kit comes with pretty much everything that you need to be up and running. All you need to do is install the operating system that you're going to use onto the micro SD card; connect your keyboard, mouse, and monitor(s); and power it up. I priced out purchasing the same components that this kit has as separate items and this kit came in cheaper. Great kit!

This has a decent amount of power and potential for such an inexpensive computer. You can set it up as a desktop computer for office apps and web browsing, a home server, a media player, or go down the classic Raspberry Pi road of experimentation. The case is basic, but everything snaps together easily and works as advertised. Fun...
