Q: Questionwould this lens work good for weddings and in low light places like churches and firehalls?
Asked by Bnztaker.
- A:Answer Depends on how you are shooting, if you are doing handheld, there is a possibility of blurred images in the low light places. The lens is not capable of a very large aperture, meaning you will have to use a slower shutter speed that risks blurring your images. This could also mean using a higher ISO which will create noise in your pictures. If the wedding is outside with great lighting, I don't see why it would not work. Otherwise, if inside, make sure there is good lighting and test it out in the place before actually shooting for an event.

Q: QuestionI have this same lens that came with my t3i. Is there any improvement with this more recent lens?
Asked by MrQualityconcern1.
- A:Answer I upgraded from a Rebel T1i to a Rebel T7. The T1i finally gave way after 10 years. Both cameras had this lens as the standard accessory. However, I was able to use my old lens with the new camera to compare. I noticed quite a bit of an improvement in the auto focus. I can't speak what would change between the T3 and T7 but I would recommend reviewing the specs to see what has changed.
