      Best 5DMIII Kit

I rented the 5DMIII, Nikon D800, D610 & D7100 before deciding on the 5DMIII. I had originally purchased the kit with the 24-105 f/4 lens and had nothing but problems. Junk on the sensor, focusing issues, lots of noise. So I returned it and purchased this kit. I wished it would have been discounted like the other kit but it seems this particular kit does not go on sale, none the less it is worth every single penny! This was an upgrade from a 50D and I couldn't be happier. It was an easy transition. I love that I can put it in the auto mode for my husband and teenage daughters to take pictures with and still get amazing shots without having to know much about photography. The battery life is amazing. After the initial charge I have taken over 500 pictures in the last month and it's still got life left before I will have to recharge it! Low light is a dream. The pictures actually capture more than I can see with my own eyes. The 24-70 is truly a great combo for this camera. The video option is nice. I did not buy this camera for those capabilities but it definitely takes great video. Love the dual card slot. The only real down side is it is a bit heavier that I would like but it still feels great in hand. I also wish it had more self timer options like the Nikons do.

Finally made the jump to full frame after shooting crop sensor for years. Previous camera was getting old, and as I started moving into volleyball photography, it wasn't cutting it. Read several reviews here, got some advice from other photographers, listened to several podcasts, and decided on this camera. Perfect for me, I think. I'm an amateur, still have a lot to learn about light, exposure, sensitivity, etc. At first, I found the controls a little confusing. Probably because I've been using essentially the same camera for a while. Getting used to the new controls, and I'm realizing that they are all in pretty smart locations once I figured them out.

The 5D Mark III is a great buy for a photographer looking to upgrade and replace their main camera body. It's a great buy for a busy freelance working photographer who shoots sports, portraits, and weddings. It's build is robust and since camera bodies tend to get banged around a bunch it's a good feature to have. Plus it's full frame and as great an autofocus system.

This is a terrific camera. The features and image quality are great. It doesn't have some of the features of the Mark iV (4k video and wifi), but for a 4yr old model it is a great option.

The thing I love about this is that it's quality video and photography. You could go with a BlackMagic but you're stuck with video only. It's a versatile tool.
