The only knock I could give it would be the low light performance. Higher ISOs can get a bit noisy. This said, the overall image clarity and quality all other times for the money are fantastic. For the money it’s definitely “bang for your buck”. I’ll put some sample images of photos taken with said camera!

Even more impressive than that, I’ve been experimenting with advanced features in manual mode and it is a breeze to learn on. The lack of DP auto focus in 4K is a bummer but my 1080p/23.9fps looks AMAZING (See Drew’s Tone Talk on Youtube for more video samples.) Couple with a Viltrox speed booster and some EF lenses, this camera is a beast for the price.

Great Camera for Beginner to Advance Users.
Great Camera for Beginner to Advance Users.
Posted .Pros mentioned:Features, Picture qualityCons mentioned:4k videoFirst off i will say i am not a Professional Photographer but i do Have Knowledge of Specs and i am using the M50 for Indoor shooting in Harsh Lighting that Tends to wash out my cell phone Quality. I recently purchased the Canon G7X Mark ii and in the Short Few Days i was able to use it i Liked it alot, but on the Day the Canon M50 Mirrorless Came out i went into my local Best buy to check it out,it was limited quantity and not on display i asked to see what it looked like and read up on all the specs i knew i wanted it, so i Exchanged my G7X for the M50,for the Extra money that i put toward the M50 i was able to get some Cool Features Software and Hardware Wise. I love the Fact that i have options now for Other Lenses, the stock Lense with IS works Great. Auto Focus with more Points is also a Plus. The Body of the Camera with out the Lense feels a bit plastic and i was concerned at first unboxing even compared to the way the G7X tough Build felt but as soon as i put the M50 Lense on it didn't matter as much and also helps in Making this Camera Compact and lightweight. In Hands the M50 Feels Very Comfortable in my Opinion. I know there are Complaints about th 4K Crop but i did not care and would much rather shoot in 1080p and have no use for 4K. I Purchased this Camera for Quality Photos and Ease of Transfering to Smartphone to Social Media and It does exactly that with the Canon Connect app and the new Auto Transfer Feature is Pretty cool. The Photo Quality is Crisp and Vibrant and some Great Features such as Background Blurring, built in Filters etc... One Great Hardware Feature is Having the Hi resolution EVF (ElectronicViewFinder) it's Beautiful and fluid to work with and an Awesome Feature for Bright days when the LCD can Give some Glare. I could go on about other cool Features but i will conclude with this, for the Price i know you can get a Full Size DSLR but if you're looking for Compactbuild,QualityPhotos,GreatVideos, interchangable Lenses, and all around Fun to Use Camera You won't Be disappointed i know im Definitely not and i made the Right choice.

Q: QuestionIs this camera good to take a night time sky picture? If so how do I do it?
Asked by Emmy
- A:Answer I have used it for night time shots but I have found that I get better results using a tripod (which is true for almost any camera) but even handheld it works very well. The M50 has several special modes, filters & settings specifically for night shooting. I'd recommend testing a few of those features to see which ones work better for what you want to do. If you have a tripod set the camera to its lowest f-stop number in my case I believe it is f-2.5 (which opens the aperture to its widest setting, this setting varies depending on the lens you are using) and switching to manual focus mode & a long shutter release for sharp images of the sky at night. However, there is a scene mode specifically for taking handheld shots at night which works really well too. Also keep in mind when using aperture priority a lower f-stop number shortens your field of focus but allows in more light while the largest f-stop number gives you the widest field of focus but allows in less light. Getting familiar with these settings will help you to get the best results for what you are trying to shoot be it a sharp portrait or a wide landscape, or in this case a night sky with lots of stars visible.

Q: QuestionDoes this camera take good photos in low light areas and is the focus sharp?
Asked by Beth
- A:Answer Yes Beth to both questions, set the camera up in M use the dial to adjust the shutter speed and you can watch the picture come into view as you turn the dial when it looks good take the picture. It's best to use a tripod for low light as the shutter speed will be slow allowing for camera shake and loss of focus.
