Love this Camera!
Posted .I did alot of research and really had a hard time choosing which camera to get. I definantly made the right decision. I absolutly love this camera. Right out of the box it shoots beautiful, crisp pictures. I still need to read manual on all the manual stuff you can do but so far I used the CA (creative auto) mostly and it shoots the most beautiful pictures. I also really like the sports mode, shoots very quick images. I didn't get the extra zoom lens because I didn't think I needed it but wish I had, not much zoom for this camera if your at a distance. Although I have cropped the pictures taken at a distance and they are still clear. The 2 pictures I uploaded, I just used the pre-set modes, potrait & creative auto and they were amazing shots. Wish I could upload more. ! I don't think you will be disappointed.

I regret, ...NOTHING
Posted .I wanted the Nikon D3100. But it was 100 bucks more, and I happened to stumble upon this camera. I'd hate to say it, but I did kind of buy this with out thinking things threw. But I do NOT regret buying this DSLR AT ALL. It can take continous shots, it says up to 3...but it takes as many as you want as long as you hold the capturing button down. <---Only on SOME settings though It comes with a battery charger, neck strap, like 5 booklets, lens, lens cap, battery, etc. ---------->Those pictures that are uploaded, are not as clear when on a regular photo viewer. Best Buys 'photo viewer' can't handle the quality. The picture is actually MUCH sharper and way more focused than that. I think it is a very good camera for photography. That's the reason why I bought it. This was the cheapest DSLR I did find that has great camera and video performance! SUPER LONG BATTERY LIFE. I havent charged it since I got it, Dec 27. Ive been using it ALL the time. The camera is very easy to figure out. All you have to do is turn it on, put it on a setting you want, and capture something! SO EASY. I have a rambunctious dog that runs around everywhere, and it captures her in action. The only other things this camera needs to come with is : A CASE. and a lens that can zoom farther. The lens is really good too, Im impressed with it. Other than that, Im so pleased with this DSLR. Downsides: Flash is kind of loud, but not to loud. When the camera manually auto focuses, its not silent, but not loud, right in the middle.

Great Camera, Great Price
Posted .I just bought this camera last week and was skeptical since it was new. I still have not figured out how to work everything yet but it takes great shots. I am an amateur and still need to read through my manual or take lessons. I will say that the auto mode does just that.. it takes a great shot not matter what! All I need now is a zoom lens and I will be set. So far love love love this camera!

Best Beginner Camera!
Posted .I love this camera! I got it for my birthday and I take it everywhere. Now that i have it, I barely ever use my point-and-shoot. The quality is great and for the price, the lens included is good too. Even if you don't know anything about cameras, this camera is great! I know of people who just use it in full auto mode and their pictures turn out fine. The only problem I have with it is focusing. If the room I am in is not extremely well-lit, it will not focus, and I end up using manual focus. Also, It might be worth the price of the T2i just to have the video camera, because I find myself wanting to video things in high quality, but i cant with this camera. *we had a lot of fun on the 4th of july taking pictures with sparklers, and this camera is perfect for it.

Great starter DSLR! Great pictures!
Posted .I've always loved snapping shots with my digital camera and I've recently been interested in diving into the world of DSLR. I've done a lot of research before my purchase, and I would have to say that I am incredibly satisfied. After tinkering with it for a a couple of hours i managed to find my way around and understand the settings. The images that I can now capture is incredible with this camera. I'm set on complete manual with this camera and shoot RAW, so I really don't bother with JPEG or Auto features. The video feature is decent but it does not sell the camera. If you're just jumping into photography this is a great start for anyone.

Excellent camera -- great deal!
|Posted .I love this camera -- all the functions of an old manual camera with the ease and upgrades of new digital. Comes with four different editing software apps that do a remarkable job -- can turn ordinary photos into something really, really nice!!

And I'm very happy it was on Sale $488 but they had the cambo Canon EOS Rebel T3 12.2MP DSLR Camera with 18-55mm Lens and 75-300mm Zoom Lens only for $599.98 so its a GREAT deal. This is my very first Canon (ISO) camera and I'm very glad. Cant wait to go on my trip to San Francisco :D If you want to get Canon this is a great place to start with, buy it till the price goes up.

Great Entry Level DSLR!
Posted .I've been into "photography" since I can remember. In high school, I was in the photo club and yearbook committee and enjoyed taking pics for both. Owned an SLR 15 years ago but never really used it and the hobby kinda got away from me. I HAVE owned a few decent digital cameras with decent lenses on them but this is my first DSLR and I gotta say... I love it! I won't say that I'm a "photographer", although, I do shoot a lot of concerts that come through town for a website. Heck, I won't even go as far as to say that I'm a "Facebook Photographer". But I know a bit more about photography than the average shooter. If you're looking for something to get you started in photography, this camera will definitely be the one you want. "It" takes great pictures. I say "it" because I've noticed a huge difference between my last "point and shoot" and this one. BUT... you gotta know the basics, or want to learn the basics, in order to get those great shots. I've seen people with expensive DSLR's take horrible pictures and have no clue why they're taking those horrible pictures when it could be as simple as turning your flash off. Was it the camera? No, the camera's just doing what it's told to do. Give me a basic $100 point and shoot and put it up against their pictures, I can usually out do them with a few minor tweeks to the manual settings. My point is that it's a great camera for someone who's planning on learning about photography (or at least the basic settings and how to use them). If you just want a camera that you're going to put on fully automatic, yeah, it'll do just fine with that, but you can save the money and get something a little smaller and easier to use. Fully automatic doesn't always get you the professional photographer portraits you're hoping to get just because you have a "real" camera. Do I recommend this camera for someone who's wanting to get into basic photography? Oh, yeah. I even have a friend who shoots professionally with this particular model and she takes amazing shots! Pros... Cost Battery Life Image Quality Cons... Feels cheap and lightweight (although, that could be considered a "pro")
