1st Time DLSR User
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. As a first time DLSR user this camera has been pretty easy to use for a novice when set to automatic. I'm not very fond of the Auto Focus but the manual focus is fairly easy and fast to use. The shutter speed is fairly decent as well. Now as for the photos...the photos are excellent. I have been pleasantly surprised at the quality of photos that can be captured with ONLY what comes in the box and no other shooting accessories. Battery life is decent, but a higher capacity back up battery is recommended for a photo shoot surpassing 2+ hours. I have experienced some photos taken being lost or non-retrievable, but I have to chalk that up more to my extremely green inexperience with Pro Photography. This camera is good for the novice who likes to tinker a little bit, or the professional photographer. I like it a lot. For advanced shooting I would recommend a higer end camera with wifi uploading and an adjustable screen.

Absolutely wonder for a beginner photographer
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this for a trip I'm attending in Hawaii in September, so I wanted to play with it alittle to learn all about it, (which is very simple if you just really study the camera lingo & watch YouTube videos), and photographed my sister & daughter and it has turned into a part time gig through college. If you have an eye for photos & are willing to learn in manual mode it's fantastic for a beginner photographer. BUT if your just buying for family fun & vacations its top of the line and will give you outstanding photos.

Great for creative amateur photographer
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this Camera set up to take senior pictures of my daughter. I figured by the time I paid a pro plus for photos, I'd be just as well off to spend a bit more and get a camera too. I'm soooo glad I did! My daughter and her friend ended up with fantastic pictures and a great memory. The photos were as good as a pro and customized, edited easily and I could provide a memory stick for her friend to take home. I've also used the camera to capture wildlife. Very crisp close ups, so close I could see a humming bird's tongue! My daughter will now be taking it to college for a photo class.

Blown Away!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my fifth digital camera, not counting smartphone, but first DSLR. Preceeding ones were two Nikon Coolpix and two Cannons "point and shoot." I bought the Rebel just before a trip to Hawaii, and I was concerned that I would struggle to learn it quickly enough to reliably use it. Not to worry. I used it landscape, closeups of flowers, rapid fire mode for crashing crazy surf, video mode, and the 300 mm telephoto as well. It worked just great. It allows one to use full automation of focus, aperture, and shutter settings, or various levels of manual control. Seems to have really good battery life, too. I definitely want to add more lenses for closeups and a bigger telephoto. After successful, but disappointing, experiences with the previous four cameras, I am blown away by this one. Don't forget to get UV filters for all lenses for dirt and scratch protection.

Great set for beginners
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this bundle on black friday. I love playing with the new camera and learning as I go. It comes with 2 lenses and a bag and memory card. I even purchased an extra 40mm lens to go with the set and I am loving it. I am a beginner and still have a lot to learn but I am loving the journey! The photos come out bright and clear and have great color!. This is a Great Bundle at a great price!

Great camera for the price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great camera at a very reasonable price. Easy to use with the automatic settings but very expandable use for professional camera users. I have a lot to learn about this camera. Has been used by the entire family.

Great Purchase
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We bought the camera for our long planned Alaskan cruise. I like this camera, it's easy to hold and operate. The settings (landscape, portrait etc) display on the screen so I don't have to rely on looking at the dial. The pictures have been really nice, one could always use a bigger telephoto but these images were sharp.. I was concerned about the battery but it lasted over a week of use before charging. The case is not too big to carry. I'd buy this again.

Q: QuestionI'm told that all rechargable batteries lose recharge capability if not used within 3 months - it that the case with this camera's battery?
Asked by Neetz.
- A:Answer Never had this issue, in fact, my battery has not lost charge at all, I do not recommend that you keep it on a charger at all times, just charge when you are planning to use the camera, mine has sat for a month without usage and my battery is still fully charged

Q: QuestionFree Bonus ItemsThe online ad states that there are two free bonus items with the Canon - EOS Rebel T5 DSLR Camera kit. One is a Shutterfly Photo Book and the second a free PNY 16 GB memory card. I bought my Camera Kit in person at the nearest Best Buy to me and I ended up having to buy a memory card because I was told the camera didn't come with one. Is this bonus item only available if you buy the camera online?
Asked by Moreta.
- A:Answer I also received the 2 16 GB memory cards, but only after showing the online ad. They are $35 each so it was definitely worth having this link on my phone. The offer did not show up on the best buy website when they pulled it up in the store's computer.
