User friendly camera
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Canon Rebel line of cameras is very user friendly and takes great pictures. I had a Rebel T2i until recently I upgraded to the Rebel T5i and I like them both, I have only had the T5i for a month though. The style hasn't changed from T2i to T5i, the only difference is the standard lens that it comes with, the newer model is a touch screen on somethings and the screen flips. I like the new lens(18-55mm Ultra Sonic Motor) because it focuses within less than a second and the focus is very quite. I have only had 1 issue with the new lens though. I just took a photography class in the mountains and we were taking photos of the stars. The new lens focuses internally so you cannot see it on the outside of the camera. When the instructor tired focusing the lens on the stars we couldn't get it to focus because there is no way to tell whether turning it left or right is going to focus it and it was hard to look through the view finder to see if it was focused when it's very dark out. I ended up using my telephoto lens on the stars because I could physically see that lens focusing but I wanted a wider view with the new lens. Other than that one issue I have had a good experience with the lens so far. Overall I would recommend this camera to a beginner photographer because it is easy to use, the lens has high technology and it's fun to have a touch screen when sliding through your photos.

Pretty Good - could be better
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I would give this thing a 5 if it weren't for it missing a key feature. Please note, it doesn't have an audio meter visible while recording. Not cool for those of us who make movies. That is really my biggest issue with it though. Besides that it produces great picture and video.

Awesome Entry Level Digital SLR
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The T5i is a awesome camera to compete with the Professionals. It has a variety of options that will take you weeks to learn and use. Take stills or video, and add creative features like B&W images. It has most of the features a professional might use, but easy enough for the amateur.

Versatile camera with great quality
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This camera is an upgrade from my Rebel T2i which I was really happy with but the T5i is so much better, with picture quality, better range of ISO speeds, flip out LCD monitor. It weighs less than the T2i, a little bit, which is very nice when taking lots of pictures.I am the "official" photographer for our local RC Airplane club and I usually take LOTS of pictures when we have a flying event like 2000-3000 pictures a day! The continuous burst setting makes it very easy to catch good action shots! And also great shots of planes making them look like the real ones flying. The members are really liking seeing pictures of their planes like that. This camera makes me feel like a professional photographer rather than the amateur that I am! Really like it! I don't believe I would ever switch to a different brand other than Canon. Very well made and ease of use. Thanks Canon!

Learn how to shoot in manual
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great camera for all uses but you really need to put in the time and the effort in learning to shoot in manual if you want to get the full use of it if you plan on just shooting on auto then I recommend buying a less expensive point and shoot.

Q: QuestionCan you change lenses on this camera?Like, if you bought a different lens could you replace it with the one you get with this camera when you buy it?

Q: QuestionHow is the video qualityI wanna become a Youtuber and was wondering if this his a good camera for that
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer Definitely, but most would recommend that you get t3i because it has the same quality than the t5i but the difference comes with some added features of the t5i. If you want to be a YouTube the best thing for you to do is starting filming now with what you have and just keep making content no matter what you have to film with. Sound is the most important so don't forget about that when buying new equipment. Good luck!

Q: Questionis this a dlsr 1200dwhat does t5i means ??
Asked by venna.
- A:Answer The i in T5i just means that it's a premium version of the T5. For example, the T5i does not make any noises when it uses auto-focus, so if filming a video you will not hear the winding sound from the camera when you play back the video. It has other bells and whistles as well just go on the Canon website and compare.

Q: Questionincludes battery charger?
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer Yes, my purchase included the battery charger. Look at the 'what's in the box' of the selection you make, or ask a BestBuy associate. It is pretty clear what you are buying and if you aren't sure, ask the sales people or call. I have found the BestBuy phone line people to be very helpful for things I wasn't sure of.
