A Solid B+
|Posted .This is my first DSLR, and not having used other SLR cameras, I can only say my experience as a novice has been mostly positive. I have had this Camera for 3 months, and I really enjoy using it. Pros: A very nice camera with full functionality, many camera modes, and full manual control- Including AV, TV modes. Fairly straightforward buttons and features that are in the places you'd expect and are convenient for quickly changing shutter speed, ISO, etc. (But takes some getting used to for a new user). NFC and WIFI connectivity for smartphones (with an downloadable APP). The Camera comes with two lenses (18-55mm and 75-300mm) that are pretty good quality and allow a range of options. (Not as great in terms of quality as a prime lens, but still good quality for the price.) The price for this kit is really good considering all that you get with it. (the camera body, two lenses, camera strap and carrying case). The photo quality is good, and it takes nice photos under a variety of settings and conditions. Cons: High ISO noise (above ISO 800 during day and over 1600 at night). This isn't a great camera for night photography/ astrophotography, but it does an okay job.( It often requires post-processing for night photography.) At 18MP, you do lose some quality over higher MP cameras. As an entry level camera though, the Rebel T6 still takes quality photos. Some challenges with taking photos using "LiveView" with Auto Modes (It's tricky to get the correct settings in place to allow it to focus and take photos in LiveView). The battery does drain pretty quickly if you're taking many photos, so a spare is a necessity. NFC connectivity is hit or miss, and it can be frustrating. It has an APS-C Sensor with a 1.6X crop factor, so your lenses are not going to achieve wide-angle without a wide angle attachment (which reduces quality). This can be a bit of a challenge for landscape photography. So if you're wanting wide-angle photos, you may want to consider a full frame camera, but that also comes with a higher price tag. Overall, I wouldn't trade this camera, despite some of it's drawbacks for astrophotography and wide-angle limitations for landscapes and some minor frustrations with NFC. It's convenient, it has decent lenses, it takes good photos, and you can't beat the price for a Canon. If they fixed some of the ISO Noise, NFC and LiveView issues, I'd give this 5 stars.

Good camera for daily use and great for beginners

Quality5 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5If you're looking for a starter DSLR camera this is a good one. Simple, but good enough to take pictures especially from a distance. I primarily got this for my child's graduation, I refuse to have pictures taken with an IPhone especially for an event like this. You can't really have memorable pictures from a distance with phone cameras. They are only good for close proximity pictures but from a distance you will need some kind of DSLR to be able to zoom in. The question you need to ask yourself before buying it is how often will you use it. Are you willing to spend $400+ for something you're going to use sparingly? I haven't used mine in weeks... that's where the Iphone beats DSLR- the Iphone is always ready to shoot and it fits in your pocket.

Great for beginners
|Posted .Won't be able to find a better camera with the accessories included at this price point. Bought it so that I could take newborn photos versus paying someone the same price. Was able to take professional looking photos and have the camera now as little guy grows up. Attached a quick, simple photo of our cat so you can see the quality.

Canon EOS Rebel T6
|Posted .I bought this on sale, it is my first digital SLR but not my first Canon. I was not disappointed at all, both lenses work great and I've gotten excellent pictures with this set, beats my Samsung Galaxy hands down. Definitely worth the money.

Good for getting started and hobby photography

Quality4 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5I have been really enjoying this camera so far. Much better than the camera on my 2 year old smart phone, and I was happy to see there are both a macro setting and a food setting, which are not listed in the description. I also love being able to wireless connect to my camera with my phone to be able to share my photos with friends. I have been wanting a DSLR for a long time and this is my first one. With social distancing, I am very glad to have this to take pictures of backyard birds, my kids, and the recipes I have been trying out. I can't wait for the zoo to reopen so I can get some great shots of the animals there. *I am having a little bit of issues with the 75-300mm lens focusing and it is telling me it isn't connecting with the contacts on the lens mount and that they need to be cleaned, but I am not seeing any debris on the contacts. I might be doing something wrong though on my end. I am going to check into the troubleshooting in the user manual to make sure.

First pro camera for my son
|Posted .My son is 10 years old with interest on colors an pics with phone. I saw his interest and surprised him with this camera which reviews said great for starters. I couldn’t be happier with my choice. He is learning to use it not just on auto but manual. He’ll be a pro soon.

Great starter DSLR kit
Posted .This is a great starter DSLR camera kit. It comes with everything you need (minus a memory card) to take great pictures. You even get a bag that has room for the camera and extras. I heard and read many horror stories about kit lenses but these are pretty good even in low light. This kit is perfect for a beginner. Someone who isn't tech savvy and doesn't want to make a big investmsnt in a camera with a lot of bells and whistles they likely won't use. Then have to buy lenses separately. The T6 is easy to navigate and learn how to use. Especially if you're coming from a Canon point and shoot like I did. I went on YouTube and learned a lot watching videos and went on Canons website too which was very helpful. Canon makes a huge variety of lenses. Most of them are interchangeable with most of their camera bodies. You will have no problem upgrading or picking up other lenses that are better quality or suited for shooting different things should you choose to do so. I will probably pick up a 50mm lens here shortly. The T6 is fairly light and easy to carry compared to many other DSLRs I've seen. This is nice because you'll have it with you more often. The canon camera connect app works seamlessly for wireless transferring of your photos to your computer, phone or tablet which I personally LOVE. The downfall of this camera is the video quality. It may get somewhat better with a better quality lens but right now it is comparable to what my Galaxy S7 edge takes. This is an entry level DSLR through so it wouldn't be realistic to expect it to take extremely high quality video. All in all a good, easy to learn on starter DSLR camera kit for as reasonable of a price as you're going to find. I recommend it.

EXCELLENT! Absolutely Amazing!
Posted .I was a "Point-N-Shooter" and wanted to upgrade to a DSLR without paying my entire life savings! This bundle is fantastic! The 18-55mm kit lens is amazing however, the 75-300mm I don't use much because it doesn't have the stabilizer like the 18-55 so there for you NEED a tripod! I also purchased the 50mm f1.8 Canon lens as well in the same order! The order I got is absolutely amazing! So you may wanna invest in a 50mm lens as well if your looking at this review! But overall I rate it a 9/10 only reason being is it dosnt have an articulated screen and I wasn't about to spend an extra $200+ on the T6i just for more MP and a tilty screen! Overall amazing! I love it! Sincerely, MemoriesByMyan(:

Q: QuestionDoes this Camera have the focus to make the background blurry?
Asked by Brit.
- A:Answer This camera has Auto and Manual focus on both its lenses. The setting to make the background blurry is called an aperture setting. If you have the camera set up on the"Av" setting, it will focus more on the subject that's close and blur out the background. The farther the background, the blurrier it gets. This feature is also available in the "Portrait" setting but depending on the lighting the camera will automatically use the flash and pictures don't come out as good.

Q: Questionhello does this camera take good night photos? or places that are dimly lit? im traveling next summer and visiting enclosed spaces with little light.
Asked by novicephotographer.
- A:Answer This camera will be great in low light situations but you will also need a fast lens to take good low light photos especially if your subject is in motion. If you're considering a new lense, i suggest you get one with a low F number. F number refers to the lense's maximum apperture width. The lower the number, the better. They also command a higher price compared to lenses with high F numbers. F2.8 is my starting F number. Anything higher than that, you'll have to crank up your ISO to compensate for the higher F number (in low light situations) which may result in image noise (grainy pixels) on your photos. I hope this helps.
