Amazed at how much noise this sucker has to make before finally producing a print. The good news is that the print is flawless and gorgeous. Should have been 4 or 5 stars just based on the print quality, but the noise and slowness really bring it down to 3. I may wind up moving it farther away from my work station because it's so noisy, which sucks because it's handy to input on the touch screen, etc. Also, after it prints, it goes into some mode that sounds like everything that can turn inside is turning and grinding and that noise goes on for 30-45 seconds for what appears to be no reason at all. And the fax and scan interface is not user friendly, unfortunately. Had a B&W Canon Laser purchased in 2006 that seemed much better than this one; that baby was a work horse.

Contrary to the description this printer does not do 2-sided documents automatically. Canon places a 'd' after the model for duplex printing. Otherwise the printer was great. Has amazing features for the cost. Print quality is great. Can handle up to 300 emails for SOHO applications. Can handle large volumes of fax if your service allows. Scan quality is very good considering it is Multi-function - more than adequate for office use even does good for photos but better options are available. Prints photos nicely. I will not need a photo specific printer. IF you do not need the duplex feature it is good. Next step down (624cw) is same but no fax. Next step up (726cdw) does automatic duplex and 21 ppm rather than 14. I returned the 6248Cw and got 726Cdw as I wanted duplex. I would recommend doing that rather than purchase this as the cost is not much more. However, I gave a high rating as the wrong description is Best Buy's fault and the printer is a very good printer with good features.

this thing is heavy, If you are looking for a color all in one printer you can't beat this for the price. However this printer does not have a duplex so you have to manually flip your paper to print on both sides. Also this printer is really heavy, Not sure why as i have 2 other laster printers and they are not this heavy
