Prints awesome
|Posted .However, automatic and paper tray way to small. I would only recommend for the great quality prints.

It has been working really well so far
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendI have been using Canon printers for over 25 years. They REALLY work for a long time with very little problems. This printer was easy to setup. It hooked right into my network fine and I can also use it with my phone. Prints nice and clean and the scanner works great. It has two different paper ports. The smaller one is front loading for envelopes, photo paper, etc., and the back tray holds much more (best for regular paper). The weird part of the back tray is it is more of a feeder slot than a tray. It pulls up and stays at an angle and you load the paper in and then there is a guide bar to keep the paper in place. Chances are the paper might get some dust on it because it isn't covered. The back tray the paper goes straight through so it prints as you see on screen while the front tray flips the paper so you have to remember that when printing. Overall a great printer. Just wish the back tray had some sort of cover to protect the paper from dust and such.

Canon All-in-One
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendHad to ditch my beloved Epson XP960 after it just kept blocking up the print head - finally internally rupturing itself somehow. The replacement PIXMA TS9520 is terrific overall, almost as good for photo prints - it will print 11"X17" prints well. Scanning is Canon's usual great quality and, though I really did not need the paper feeder to scan, its actually my go-to machine for this now, also handy to have auto 2-sided output. New Canon Photo printers now seem to have only 4 color cartridges and 1 B&W text cartridge, this is much cheaper to run than my old Pixma with 8 cartridges to feed, I'm only using Canon dyes/ink, third party inks don't seem to archive well.

Good All Purpose B&W/color printer copier fax

Quality4 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5In general all printers have gotten smaller, much less expensive and with plenty of features over the years. I currently use two - this one and an HP. The HP has the large capacity ink tanks which is super convenient. This one still uses a conventional size ink cartridges but I think produces better color than the HP. I still would not use it as a dedicated color photo printer, but it does a decent job.

Excellent Printer for the price
|Posted .I would recommend this to a friendAfter a long journey of research and returning a crappy HP printer. I stumbled upon this beautiful printer. I took it home set it up and after printing with it the first time i had no more worries. This thing prints in quality and from what I can tell is not a terrible ink hog. It prints crisp and clear. No complaints, I will always be a cannon printer purchaser now. I am tired of HP's crap printers.

Canon Printer
|Posted .Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.Features
Quality4 out of 5Value4 out of 5Ease of Use1 out of 5The printer works well and prints very well. My main complaint is that it is a bit complicated to learn how to use it properly. The only instructions it comes with are on the box concerning initial set up. You must go online to access in-depth operating instructions. Which I find frustrating when in the middle of a printing chore. Not really wild about having to use several different ports to print on different types of paper...envelopes, pictures, etc.

Totally satisfied with this purchase

Quality5 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5It's a very good and fast printer. For a printer in this price range, I'm very satisfied not only with it's quality, but also it's diversity to print from either it's tray or it's rear feeder. It's capability to print on discs makes it a go to printer for me.

Meh, Ok so far, but could be much better
Posted .I would recommend this to a friendI like Canon printers and it came time for an additional one as I moved my office. I chose the TS9520 because they no longer make the MG7120, and the features best matched what I had. Pros: - You can print (so I read) on 11x17 paper. I print many CAD drawings so this is huge for me. - Five ink colors. Okay, I would have REALLY preferred six like my MG7120. I'll have to compare photo printing closely. - Automatic duplex printing, a big requirement for me. - Document Feeder. I'm sure I can scan legal documents now which simple flatbed scanners (typically) will not support. - Wired connection. I am NOT going to waste my WiFi bandwidth on printing. If a printer can't support Ethernet I pass it over. - CD/DVD printing. I'll have to play with this. Not sure if it can print double sided DVDs or Blue Rays. - SD Card Reader right on the front of the printer, not that I ever used one. I use the computer. But for some this is a plus. Cons: - This first one is huge in my mind. The door on the MG7120 opens up automatically when I need to print. Here you need to have the stupid "operation panel" flipped up and the paper catch tray out in order to print. This makes for a VERY cluttered and messy desk. My printers typically are not in the same room as my computer let alone even on the same floor in the house. Then again I need to do more stairs. - Still uses cartridges, not ink-wells, which I was REALLY looking forward to having on my next printer. They do say there are XL and XXL replacements. - Setup was confusing. Had to hit "stop" on the printer and select "wired" to get the computer to connect. Good thing I'm used to setting up Canon printers. - O...M...Goodness, could they have picked a brighter LED for the power indicator? I think not. - My MG7120 has two paper trays on the front. Lower one I have paper in, upper one photo paper. Again in Pros I mention 11x17 printing, so I would rather have that than multiple trays. I'm sure after some use I'm going to accept the fact it's an ugly printer, and after some time I'll print some photo's using this printer and not my MG7120. No printer is perfect, and this one misses the mark in my mind, but not by much. That said still a good printer. Not perfect, good. I would like more.
Q: QuestionWHat Kind Of Ink Does It Require? Does Come With A Ink? Is It Easy To Assemble?
Asked by Dinkgirl2.
- A:Answer It takes 5 different cartridges. Four for color printing (281 - C-Y-M-BK) and 280PGBK. One of each comes with the printer, but I would suggest purchasing extra right away. It is very easy to set up. It does most of the work for you. I had to run about five copies through it at the beginning to get the ink flowing properly. After that it was fine. As a last resort you could read the documentation that comes with it, although I know that no one ever does that!
